In todays video we are here to react to rangers losing the league cup final to celtic as beale drops our best midfielder for a midfielder who isnt fit and partners him with a player miles off it, baffling decisions off the park & even worse ones on the park as we barely laid a finger on celtic until the second half, we discuss what went wrong in the game for rangers as celtics midfield provide the platform for celtic to win the cup, this is our thoughts on rangers 1 celtic 2.. whats yours?

Beale has lost one game since he arrived. Season coming apart? The damage was done under Gio. You can judge Beale next season when he gets a few players in. Contracts run on seasons and there will be more free agents come June. Sunday was poor though.

Champions league qualifiers start early in the season as well. I thought we were poor on Sunday and senior players under performed. Taking a chance on Lundstrom and Tillman's fitness was a risk that back fired. Hope we can do better in the Scottish cup.

I must say every old firm game your videos always pop up on my feed and I always watch it. You’re a very honest person and not delusional which is rare. The rangers played ok for 20mins but we deserved to win. We’re just a better team all over the park. Apart from your keeper I wouldn’t take any your players.

It wasn't a classic, but a trophy is a trophy. I am not here to gloat, just my opinion.
Celtic were undoubtedly the better team. Rangers are in the position of 'cobbling together' a starting 11, as the squad depth is shallow. Mr. Beale missed an opportunity to give his new signings a run out, maybe based on trust. Fine.
Celtic go forward, relentlessly. They have talent in all departments. In addition, if a player/ position is injured or not playing well, Ange has a sub on the bench to take over, usually just slotting in as (literally) as a substitute.
Defence
You said kind things about CCV, rightly. He is pivotal to the Celtic defence.
Greg Taylor made mistakes, no doubt, but played his part in the first goal.
Starfelt, maybe a bit of a bomb scare, but he does his job and has made a number of saving tackles over the season.
Alistair Johnson is fitting in well.
Celtic also have Ralston and Kobayashi waiting on the bench, if needed.
Midield
Consider the midfield. McGregor, can cope on his own but he has fabulous support from Hatate, Iwata, Mooy and O'Reilly. All from the bench and potential goal scorers.
Attack
Up front, Maeda, (duracell batteries), Kyogo, always busy and lethal. and Jota, a very talented winger/ goal scorer. And let's not forget Abada!! And now Oh!!! (Oh, Oh, it's magic!!)
Bench
Further, on the bench, Forrest (experienced and can rip sides apart), David Turnbull (still a great resource) and Hakšabanović (has not reached the heights yet, but will prevail, eventually)
Joe Hart, usually has little to do and has been known to make mistakes. I would be hHappy to see see Bain get a run.
On the Rangers end, I think you and many Rangers fans are over critical on of Tavanier. He does his job. But there is a lot of dead weight in the Rangers squad. Similarly Goldson. I won't criticise the others

Completely wrong about Starfelt. Maybe a couple of iffy moments but you make him out as if he’s James Sands. They guy puts everything into games and hasn’t lost a league game when playing with CCV (40 odd games) you can’t say that’s just CCV. Agree about Hart I don’t think he’s up to it.

I'm sorry but I hate to say it but your analysis of this game is so so biased. Starfelt although he did little mistakes, was an absolute rock in defence. Not once did you mention that Celtic dominated 70 minutes of the game and Rangers only got into the game after a lucky corner scrappy goal. But sure try blame it on the manager and try and say this that and the other rather than just admit you outplayed. You were lucky it wasn't more than 2 before half time. And usually CJ I love your analysis but it's way off this time

Raskin and Cantwell are novel to the Old Firm, l can see why Beale made that call, but it all comes down to the running of the club, all of the deadwood that wison has brought in. Rilmaz, Souttar, Matondo, all wasting capital. Lawrence is a great player but what use is he on the sidelines? No way all of our players are injured. Roofe is an absaloute DISGRACE

The main point, which CJ emphasized, is that Rangers have precious few players who would ever see the pitch under Ange's management.
It's not a deficit of quality. It's a deficit of effort and proper physical conditioning. Are Celtic's midfield that much more skilled? Not really. Is Maeda a real threat with the ball at his feet? No, he isn't. Do Celtic's fullbacks have the pace and attacking menace of Tavernier? They do not.
But Celtic have been schooled in "Total Football". They use the entire pitch to defend, and the entire pitch to attack. When they bring numbers forward, they bring everyone. On defense, I watched them.... Whenever they had to dig in, they had all ten outfield players, man marking in their defensive third.
Rangers do not have that level of effort, unselfishness, and cardio stamina. And that's really the difference between the two sides.

He gambled and got it wrong m8, my biggest criticism is he didn’t change it quick enough, in saying that I think Beale is definitely going to take us forward. Raskin is going to be a great player for us. Hard one to take today but we take it on the chin and make sure we improve next time.
Beale addressed the issue of players saying "I'm okay to play boss" recently did he not. If that today didn't give him the answers to that question then (yet again) we've got a manager as bad as Gio.

To be honest when either Goldson or Davies got the ball Celtic forwards hassle them they had no time on the ball, then look at their centre halfs nobody chased them they played from the back.
Cat n mouse for 35 minutes celtic went up.a gear carved out 4 chances in 4 minutes got a beautifully worked goal .. celtic 2nd goal was also crafted beautifully rangers then get a goal back and look dangerous but unaffective for 20 minutes then celtic have 3 good chances too make it a demolition but they can't put those chances away either not sure if Hart saved Kents shot was standing too far away from that

I'm an Aussie with family connections to Rangers but an interest in Celtic due to the Aussie contingent. So not into bagging one or the other, but a comment from a Gers fan last week who stated Beale as the better manager. What a load of crap as seen today, HE COULDN'T LICK ANGE'S BOOTS.

I think it’s obvious what CJ is gonna say, what we are all thinking, it was obvious from the get go, the midfield selection was wrong today, it’s without a shadow of a doubt the major factor in what cost us the game. Celtic dominated the midfield battle until we made the obvious changes, we’ve cried out all season for new, young and talented midfielders, we acquired them, they’ve shown us wonderful and promising things over the last few weeks, then we don’t play them in the game that matters the most? In there stead, we play injury ridden or severely inconsistent players, It’s baffling, stupid and frustrating to say the least. Even though this is our first loss with Beale it’s a poor and was an easily avoidable one, waiting till we’re two goals down before changing things made it even worse, it was never going to be easy but we handed it to them, I’m tired of watching us playing safe and picking favourites, “they’ve come in and done well but haven’t played a lot of football” was the quote from Beale but Lundstram has? Kamara had one good game against St Mirren and yet there’s a player who has shown more in one month than he has all season, if we would have lost today going out on our shield throughout the WHOLE game with the right team selection, it wouldn’t taste no where near as bitter in the mouth. It’s a lesson for Beale and the players but we scrap, recycle and go again, WATP and will never stop supporting our amazing team, going forward however we have nothing left to lose, 9 points behind, lost the Viaplay cup and have the Scottish Cup as the only tournament that could potentially be won, time to drop the old and tired legs, give the young, fit and healthy lads the chance, finish this season off supporting them, 4 lads had a dream, well it is time our young lads get there dream, let them play week in and week over the favourites and “maturity” that solemnly show us they have what it takes to compete anymore. ❤️💙💙❤️

The players just aren't good enough to outdo celtics simple as that! U can dress it up anyway u want but unless u accept it Rangers will be 2nd forever.
I said if we started this season with the same players as previous season we wont win anything and certainly if we dont bring in at least 3 STARTING 11 players better than what's there already in January and then add to it in the summer we wont win anything next season either.
So i gave it a 50% chance for next season but not now because he brought in 2 or 3 supposed starters then doesn't start them.... BS obviously they aren't any better than slowstrum & kamtbothereda.
Unless there's a total miracle and we buy 8 or 9 NEW ACTUAL starters in the summer who all hit the ground running & celtic lose alot of players and don't bother to replace or else bring in worse. Which is extremely unlikely as that Ange hasn't brought in a bad player yet. Then its not next season but the next we are looking at possibly doing something.
I hate to say that but i have called every single title and cup competition bar this one in last 3 or 4 years and even then i sorta forced myself into thinking Rangers would win in extra time even tho i had a niggling feeling its not gonna happen, because people kept saying im so negative etc. Well i'm not... im right! I wish i wasn't, i wish i was wrong. I just see it as it is. I don't want to be "negative" Its just so obvious why it's not working out & obvious how to change it but nobody does it. Obviously we will never know bit i just feel had he done that their 2nd wouldn't have happened. Some genius tactician eh?.... I noticed Ange switched his full backs around, something we can't or won't ever do as our players are so fixed, static & unflexible. Kent is supposed to be 2 footed player yet he or gio didn't have the brains to try switching him over the the left for a change. Gerrard did it a few times but it's never happened since. Maybe try and SURPRISE the opposition Beale.... there's a bit of advice for you, rather than telling them your every move. We ate so static, predictable & the opponent knows your stategy & where every single one of your players is going to be. If you are playing chess and tell the opponent your every move ahead of time you are just helping them out. It's so frustrating to watch. He will stick by that rigid 4-3-3 no matter what

I used to come here just to taste your tears & laugh but you’re actually a good likeable guy with footy knowledge. In the rangers defence the 15mins after the 2-1 goal yous could have had us if yous had gone for it, we were on the ropes. I’m a Tim but from a mixed family so I’ve no hatred. I completely agree with everything you were saying CJ. The midfield two of Kamara and Lundstram were totally anonymous. Didn’t show anywhere near the energy or desire needed. Wasn’t even a midfield battle as Rangers didn’t lay a glove on Celtic in that area of the park. The rebuild was clearly needed last summer but instead, we spent cheaply and the players we signed are gamble projects - failed to bring in enough players that could hit the ground running and enhance the first team. I’m sick of watching the same players we’ve had since 2018 trot out over and over doing the same thing. That same group of players have consistently bottled big games. I’m tired of going over to Hampden and watching Rangers fail to deliver. Seen it far too many times now and it’s the same characters involved. Don’t need to hear folk like Tavernier apologising. It means nothing. If you’re sorry, go and deliver on the park. But unfortunately we’ve heard the “sorry” time and again and nothing changes. Some players can’t just keep getting handed unlimited chances. Need folk moved on. Players like Raskin should be starting every game.

Kamara is a tidy footballer but he's faaaar too passive to play against Celtic, We've seen it time and time again. He's not got the competitiveness to be an effective defensive midfielder and he doesn't have the guile or ambition to be an advanced playmaker. He's a passing machine and that's about it. Tillman isn't right for this game either and Fredo has been gash in every derby for years.

Playing unfit players hampered both teams. Rangers had two in the engine room and it showed. I also question Alfredo’s fitness he looks heavy and it is impacting his sharpness.

Beale bottled it by trying only to contain celtic, especially in midfield, but there is no guarantee a more attacking midfield would not get overrun by celtic's pace and movement.

The two names I did not want to see in the starting 11 today were Lundstram and Kamara, and tbh after that I would prefer not to see them in the 11 again.
Lundstram is just so lazy and switched off mentally, and Kamara is just a tidy anchorman from Dundee that 3 different managers have tried to make into something he isnt.

The midfield was all wrong and not making changes at HT was crazy, apart from that better team won 🤷♂️ now more importantly enough is enough with some of these players...Kent Kamara Barasic Morelos (yes he scored big deal) have been here long enough and haven't delivered Lundstram not as long doesn't matter to me he's like gio cheers for the European run and Scottish cup but apart from that useless Jack done well when on but isnt reliable squad player at best if he stays Shagger Davis n arfield this should be last season for them...we need a MASSIVE summer its as simple as that

Beale showed his true colours with that lineup. Kamara should never start in an Old Firm match. He's too lackadaisical. They swarm us to gain possession and kamara is just too slow to overcome that. Raskin must have still been injured, however Cantwell fits in well to combat their press and he is all over the pitch in contrast to Lundstram.

Midfield really let us down as the players like Davies Morelos and my mcgregor had a decent game

Sakala extremely poor
Kent still not good enough
Beale has to improve these players fitness cause at the end of the first half we couldn’t keep up with celtic

Subs that came on done well cause if celtic problems
Just seems like none of the p lad gers care sometimes or have a proper grit in their teeth to go crunch thier rivals and get on top of thier opposition

It proves they still have a squad slightly stronger than ours CJ. We can say what ever we want, but we're still no there! Still got work to do. And we got one back before he made the changes. After he made changes we dwindled out of the game!

Honest as always man! For me I just felt beat already when I saw the lineup which I know sounds defeatist but when you sign ‘Two first team players’ according to your manager you expect them to start these big games! Especially when they’ve proven they are good players. To bring back in a player who has been out of form all season and been injured for 3 weeks is criminal! Beale talks a good game but he needs to learn from these mistakes like past managers. Time to start picking form over ‘Loyalty’
Also Alfie wasn’t great but got a goal and we took him off and brought on Colak. We’re 2-1 down in a cup final! Surely we keep them both on and play 2 strikers for the last 10/15 mins!

Felt Morelos was taken off because he was losing it and there was a very real risk of him earning a red card which would have been much worse.

Raskin showed in 10 mins what the whole midfield couldn't in 80, why he wasn't in from the start Is beyond me. Frustrating to watch the 3 man midfield and for me played into the hands of the opposition, tough watch unfortunately 😑
The team needs a total rebuild barring a few. Would also not sign Tillman after today. £5 million would get us Oscar Gloukh. For me this is Beales manager audition now between now and the summer. He needs to win a trophy and have us playing better, if not I would bring in serial winner and experienced manager Barak Bakhar.
