I lived in Iqaluit (Frobisher Bay then) when I was a kid and your videos bring back memories of hiking the hills and beaches with my dogs - one was a dalmatian so I was easy to spot in the summer :) Of all the places I lived in the artic (Iqaluit, YK and Inuvik), Iqaluit was my favorite. Sadly, the cost to go up to the eastern artic from SW Canada is too expensive so I've never been back. Your videos are wonderful. I'll be watching them all. Thanks
PS... I thought the junior high school age was the best time to live in Iqaluit but I see that being a young adult is the best. So much fun! I went to GREC Junior/High School. Is it still there?
Beautiful video, I am excited to visit in a few weeks myself. I did laugh at loud at the visual of struggling to burn a piece of paper with the word 'RACISM' printed on it.
Your video is awesome! Stunning photography of the area. It’s so beautiful there is the summer! But paint that drone neon soon! Lol What are the plans for school in the fall, or do you know yet? Our area of Michigan (Ann Arbor) hasn’t decided yet. Any hey guess what, my husband is negotiating a job in Victoria, so I may be “home” soon, after missing Canada for so long. And excited to see a whole new part of the country that we’ve never lived in. It’s our own adventure! Have a wonderful summer, and excited to see more videos about life and culture in Iqaluit!
It is a beautiful time of the year here! Thats wonderful to hear! Thats definitely a place for adventure. Nunavut schools are following a reopening plan (3 phases) and with 0 cases we're in the lowest possible phase (no face masks and regular class sizes for elementary). Have a great rest of your summer too
Hi Evantures,I regularly follow your youtube. You;re doing a great job! I have got a teaching job offer in Qikiqtarujaq.I was exploring various resources that would give me a better insight about the environment in Nunavut.Your video is one of the important resources I used to know about Nunavut. However,I watched a movie called The Grizllies and get a bit worried on my decision to go.I will be moving inAugust. What would be your advice?Thank you
I've always wanted to know more about people who're not native in the arctic to share their stories living there. Thanks for doing this series. It's very interesting. What's the average temperature like in the summer now?

Really cool you get to explore these northern regions. Out of all the places in the world the colder ones are the ones that peak my interest.
I'm glad you found the channel! It truly is an incredible place. Thanks for watching

Much appreciated Kevin! I’m going to check in this week, but I saw they’ve grown some produce for the food bank!
