These recommendations are great! My mother is Taiwanese but my Mandarin is very poor, so learning Taiwanese pronounciaction and vocabulary via entertainment is perfect for me!
Thank you very much, I have been looking for Chinese vlogs for a while. As europeans youtube recommends me only videos by americans or europeans. Finally what I was looking for!
Dear Grace, I once had a Taiwanese tutor. I remember showing this video to my tutor: th-cam.com/video/wWnUczsfGv0/w-d-xo.html I really liked this video as I was able to use it for my lessons. We discussed gender stereotypes in Taiwan and how similar or different they are from western stereotypes. I felt afterwards that I understood Taiwanese society a tiny bit better. And also, some excerpts of that - awesome in my opinion - speech were used to improve my vocabulary. So I gained both cultural insight and knowledge of scientific Mandarin. And this actually is something I am very keen to learn. Thank you in advance for your reply Grace!
I just checked out all the recommended channels, all are good but TheKellyYang is best one I liked 😎👍 Honestly I'm more comfortable with your videos because you speak so clear & crisp...well enough to understand better than channels you recommended.
I would also recommend Crystal Chen, she posts videos about some places she goes, her life, and they have subtitles in Chinese. They are not very long and the words are easy to understand
Thank you Grace for the recommendations!! TH-cam channel: Chinese with-xiaolu Clube de chinês/pula muralha (in portuguese, really good content) Everyday chinese Jj says Lindie Botes (she is a passionate language learner and she has lots of mandarin related videos) Mylangs (another language learner and really good chinese content) Shuoshuo Chinese (amazing videos) Yoyo Chinese 子时当归 (lots of food recipes hahaha) These are the ones that I usually watch.
Wooo!!! This vdo was helpful. BT, pls upload a vdo on chinese vloggers who speak in mandarine chinese so that I can use them to learn mandarine chinese pls pls pls pls plsss😭😭😭
你好Grace!I find your videos very informative and I am thankful for your beautiful work! I wonder if you could make a video about 为、为了、是为 and 是为了? I might be talking about the same thing by all this but I just don't know! It would mean so much to me!
I'd recommend Mandarin Corner, that channel is amazing and they treat some interesting topics .... Nice for people who is curious about how things work in China 😉
Do you know any TH-camr who use Mandarin Chinese and upload frequently? I'm planning to learn Simplified Chinese first and after i am comfortable enough i will start learning the traditional.
Thank you so much for all of those recommendations ! 😁 I was actually looking for differents ways to practice my casual chinese with vlogs ! 😄 Also, I love your hair like this 🥰

It’s based on their speaking speed and the vocabulary they use, but I didn’t watch all of their videos, so the rating is just for your reference, might not be 100% accurate.
I found these two channels really good for learning Chinese: Teacher Li Yongle: th-cam.com/users/李永乐老师 That channel uses captions a lot. With the help of a popup dictionary on the browser, I'm always able to search the words that I don't know. In addition, I find his videos extremely interesting. Travel notes: th-cam.com/video/Cz8h_68VxKE/w-d-xo.html That channel is about internal tourism in Mainland China. What I like about this channel, besides the obvious fact that its content is amazing, is that he usually describes what is seen by the camera. In this way, one learns a lot more without the need of using a dictionary. By the way, before watching this channel, I didn't even know that the 天坑s are a tourist destination in China. Besides, he also uses captions a lot.
Hi everyone. Can anyone teach me how to use 反正 in Chinese? For example: 我当时*反正*就是躺在车后面,座位那儿躺着。然后当时天窗是打开来的,*反正*那个光就会照下来. 然后当时就好想说,我今天要不管那么多我不拍戏就多好。 Thank you so much
谢谢你 Grace! I really liked this video you just uploaded! I liked that you included both Taiwanese and Chinese videos. I think it is important to know about the variations in Mandarin Chinese. Moreover I really liked that you included a "difficulty" level for each video. Some are new to Mandarin but others may have been learning for years. The vlogs seem to cover many different topics. This is very useful in my opinion. Learning a language is not easy. Topics are pretty much "infinite". Some ideas for you: Have you thought of making a video about the Olympic Games in Tokyo? I am sure that now a very good way to "break the ice" and make some "small talk" would be things like "Did you hear who got a gold medal in X sport?" "Did you hear about the return of Simone Biles?" Simple things. Not anything too deep/ elaborate. Moreover, have you thought of making an upload recommending speeches in Mandarin? You may know of TED and TEDx. I have found some really nice speeches in Mandarin Chinese. I honestly felt it broadened my horizons. The videos that have English subtitles often are very, very interesting! Last but not least... Have you thought of making videos for people wanting to come to Taiwan? Some may want to study as undergraduates. Some may want to study for a Masters course or PhD. Others may be already qualified and want to find a job and experience a new country. What advice would you give them? What opportunities are there to study in Taiwan if your knowledge of Mandarin is basic? Let's say HSK 2 or HSK 3 (Apologies as I do not know the system for Taiwanese Chinese!!) Are there any interesting summer courses to learn Mandarin in Taiwan? Appart from English language teachers, what do other foreign people do to make a living in Taiwan? I would LOVE to spend a few years in Taiwan. It is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Speaking of the beauty of Taiwan, in books written many decades ago, Taiwan was referred to as "The Beautiful Nation" 😃 PS I do understand that the Pandemic is far from over. But hey... We have a strong responsibility to think about positive things. I always try to think about all the things I would love to do once this pandemic is over. I love travelling. And cannot wait to tick your beautiful country from my "bucket list" 😊
