Looks like a nice event. They had some very creative and clever lighting and sounds.

It was fun. The mini haunts were very creative.

What a difference between night and day. The Santa Ana Haunt was next level when the lights would go out with the music. Very cool! 😀

You know, some of the smaller events and non theme park haunts are really a good time. Everything we did last year and Knott's 50th and all...the 4 haunts I ended up liking the most were on my San Jose and Sacramento trips...
The Winchester Mystery House was really good, the 2 haunt paths and the pre show and event out front. Well themed and entertaining, well worth it and get the VIP so you can do both paths!
Pirates of Emmerson with its multiple haunts was set up really well, I really liked it. was a fun, lively event, even helped a clown chase down some runners in one maze like section of a haunt...
Hearstoppers in Sacramento, well closer to Folsom...multiple haunts in a 3 story building and booths, games and live bands. Pretty good time all around and definitely worth a visit.
Hobbs Grove, here in Fresno, well Sanger...is always a really good Halloween Event...2 long back to back mazes and a Haunted Hayride that is FAR better then the so called "World Famous Los Angeles" one...all go out and thru the old farm and forest there. Some HIGHLY creative set pieces scare areas...like one upstairs that you were told "lean against the left wall or you will fall!" dark optical illusion room that had you walking on a raised board over and endless pit, that looked like you would really fall and made me lean against that left wall big time lol
A bonus one we did not do last year...but have done it a lot of times now...if you are ever in Las Vegas...a 45 minute drive north during Halloween, The Moapa Valley Corn Maze is a really good family event. Pig races, Food, a corn maze, a few kiddie rides, they rent fire pits, a Haunted Corn Maze, some haunted houses, a "spooky" Hayride, Corn Cannons and a Zombie Paintball Bus! They also sell melons and pumpkins you pick right there on the farm. All day, great event overall even without kids

I will have to check some of those Haunts out this year. Winchester has always been on my to-do list, but have never made it up there. I find the smaller haunts to always be entertaining and creative.
