      Hi Martin, thanks for the video! You mentioned almost everything needed for development except mechanics. In my embedded team 3D modeling and prototyping skill is also present in skillset but not required though - it depends on the carier route of individual he/she able to concieve, construct, model and prototype mechanical parts, ex. housing.
      I have a question - could you please provide the structure of you training materials before I update the payed plan?

    I'm glad you mentioned Eric Bogatin. I Really like the series by ultimia designer guest speaker Rick Hartley "Grounding"

    It's funny to think that even for one skill, people spend an entire lifetime to master, and this discusses 20 skills. I mean, seriously. Maybe for DIY projects? But for commercial projects you'd want 5+ engineers for these kinds of skills requirements.

    I completely agree with the skilled you presented. I am familiar with most concepts but luck experience and practice . Do you recommend a way to approach the learning curve . Do you offer any mentoring . I am looking for a fast track

    Why there are no resources on PIC microcontrollers from Microchip? Does that mean they are not as good as the options you mentioned?

    • @mkschreder
      @mkschreder  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because PIC controllers are a piece of rotten garbage and any other option is better than PIC. For example finding a good CortexM0 based chip that satisfied all requirements and price point.

    Will AI replace embedded software developers?

    • @mkschreder
      @mkschreder  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      AI is never going to replace anyone. Only the very uninformed believe such nonsense. However I'm pretty sure that highly skilled embedded software developers will be using AI extensively to build bigger and better systems at a small fraction of the time it would take to build them otherwise. Thus AI will make embedded software developers more productive and enable building higher quality systems quicker. Just like computers have enabled mathematitians to multiply matrices faster. There is no excuse for a developer to not be using tools like copilot. In general, the more skilled the developer, the more useful AI becomes because skilled developers also tend to ask better questions.
