We went through there in 2022.coming down from Missoula. You are spot on about that drive; it is everything you said. People who live in cities and never leave them- they have no idea. We had the extra excitement of narrowly missing the Salmon Fire when we went through - imaging smoldering trees down by the road. But we are heading back this summer for an extended stay, can’t get enough!

drove semi up to Hamilton Mt
a couple of times and i just bought a lot in elk bend on 2/28/20 will be moving up there as soon as snow melts, you are allowed to stay 6 months at a time like in Quartzsite in a camper/ motorhome, dont need to put in a septic(they have people who come to
out empty black tank or go to rv park to dump) lot has water and power at street if you want it have to get hooked up $$, so summers up their winters in Az.

I live in Elk Bend. We love it here so much.
There is a pdf you can download it's got the storyboards in it all through the state . I googled storyboards along highway in Idaho info and pdf came up. It's worth checking it out its called Idaho Historical Highway Marker Guidebook.

Riding down there from Calgary this weekend, Going to the Sun Road in Glacier to Missoula and over Lolo pass to Idaho. Beautiful motorcycle roads dow there.
Thanks for rolling around our part of the world and doing such a great job filming it. The historical markers can be googled up and there is a guide to them all. Next time through try to make it to Mesa Falls, Wallace and the Hiawatha Trail. Idaho has more dirt roads( 40k+miles) then you can explore in a lifetime and unless there is a sign saying you cannot camp then you CAN camp and should (FREE). More fresh white water then any of the lower 48 and more wilderness acres without human development then the most die hard hiker could hope to trek. Thanks Russ for sharing and enjoying your way through Idaho. Many people say "Idaho is as America was". Keep making the great videos.
As always...great drone footage. Hwy 93 is an all time favorite of ours. My husband grew up in Missoula, Mt. We try to get back as often as we can. He retires in 2 yrs. We'll be sure to hit the road then..thanks Russ for helping to keep the dream alive! ❤

Oh my, how I miss Idaho! I was 4 times there. My aunt live in Boise and my uncle work near Council and before Featherville. Booth places with absolutely fantastic hot springs! Next year I want to do a RV tour from California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California

My wife and I stayed at a B&B on the left side of your drive today. It was fun. Sweet area indeed with the river right there. You were at an elevation of 4400 ft at Elk Bend :-)

I agree, Russ. I rode the entire way from Arco to Salmon last summer on the motorcycle and it was FANTASTIC. My most memorable day of motorcycling !

Looks like that bridge you drove over is newer than October 2015. Looking at Google street view you can see them in the early stages of building the bridge and the old one is closed.
This was sure enjoyable since I was raised in Idaho and haven't been back in many years.
I know God said not to envy ,but this is pretty country. I live in Florida.

Been to Utah, lived in Colorado, many years . . . however no live in the hills of D.C. . . . been here some 23+ years after a potential life ending bike accident - Labor Day, 96' ! Idaho - a wonderful place
I wanna build a home for myself here in Idaho...such a fantastic calm beautiful place. I'm fed with my filthy country. GOD bless the whole US. No matter what I wanna be an American. The whole world lies in the West. We've nothing in the East. The sun starts its journey from the East & ends it in the End. The meaning is clear. Wishes rise in the EAST but it can't be fulfilled in the EAST. To make it real, You'll have to go to the WEST to make it true. Never ever imagined such a beautiful place. Gosh, it would be so much better if I was from Idaho. I'll spend my whole life on the bank of this river. I'll sit there forever until I die. I don't wanna go away from that place.
