So I've just started the Throne of Glass series (very new to fantasy btw so this is thanks to your reading videos 😊).
I'm on The Assassins Blade atm which I know is one of the novellas. I'm confused on the order of the books. I've searched the internet but I want to ask you....
How many novellas are there, and when does the regular series begin? Please help haha.
I'm definitely not Rachel, but I've gone through the entire Maas Universe. Personally, I liked reading Assassin's Blade prior to all of the Throne of Glass books. Some people say to read it in the middle of the series, but I liked it before. Some people also tandem read Empire of Storms/Tower of Dawn. I didn't and also didn't feel like I was missing anything.
So my reading way was...
TOG : Assassins Blade (novella), Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Tower of Dawn, and Kingdom of Ash.
Then ACOTAR: A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury, A Court of Wings and Ruin, A Court of Frost and Starlight (novella), and A Court of Silver Flames.
Then Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath.
I would read ACOTAR before Crescent City, only because there is a massive spoiler at the end of House of Sky and Breath that deals with ACOTAR.

I started Assassins Blade first because that was all that was available at my closest library, along with two of the other books in the series. I'm originally from Australia but I live in Italy with my family so there are limited English books here, haha.
It made the most sense to go with the very first book published.
I feel better now that I know someone else started with Assassins Blade too.
Perhaps I'll get to the other series you mentioned by Sarah J Maas.

i just finished yours truly by abby jimenez! was a good book but definitely not as good as part of your world was! i do suggest reading part of your world first cos the same characters cross over and yours truly makes more sense if you read the other one first 😊

That's so weird that you're reading a book about Rome, Kentucky while in Australia. That's rly hard for my mind to wrap around, bc (no offense to anyone from ky) it's a nowheresville town in a pretty forgotten state in the US lol

I just started doing this myself so I can answer. I annotate so I can refer to certain passages or quotes at a later time.
