Bought this from Walmart for $485(after taxes and employee discount), which superseded my LG C1 48" in my living room. Now, someone may ask "why the heck would you do that?" Size. It's decent enough image quality and the immersiveness is unmatched. I went from 48 inches at 8 feet away to 70 inches at 6 feet away. I don't miss 120Hz, but I do miss the contrast of OLED. That said, paying $2500+ for a LG C1 77" just does not make any sense.
I have it paired to my PC(even have a long HDMI cable ran upstairs to the C1, which I placed in my bedroom), and my Samsung A60M soundbar with surrounds. TV does all I ask of it, and looks amazing doing it.

Sorry, bit this is the worst and most unprofessional review I have ever seen.
First it takes half an hour until you finally figured out how to actually unbox it, and then there‘s no valuable information concerning the quality.
Contrast? Bleeding? Brightness in SDR and HDR? 24p judder and stutter?!?
Sorry, but a Top Gun Trailer fron YT won‘t do I‘m afraid.

I've enjoyed my past year with this TV, but I have to note a couple of oddities:
    1. I have to reset it fairly regularly, about once every two weeks or so. To do so, I unplug it from the wall, count to 20 slowly, then plug it back in.
    2. It has an minor undocumented feature I really like. I have an Amazon Fire Cube (old model) plugged into HDMI input 2, and when I'm streaming something on the cube, if I switch to another TV input, it continues streaming normally. This is not how my other TVs work - on them, if I switch away from an HDMI input receiving a streaming signal, that stream is interrupted. I use this feature to stream sports on the cube, then switch away to watch something else during the commercials.

Was planning to buy a 65 inch Sony Bravia X85K for $1200 until I found out that the HDMI 2.1 port doesn't even work properly because the X1 chip is not powerful enough to run both 4K and 120Hz at the same time, so I decided "Screw it. If the best of the best can't give me what I want, then why should I pay so much for specs?" Decided to focus on size instead. It's my first ever 4K coming from 1080p LED (also Hisense). Was originally going to pay for a 75 inch Hisense but they told me it doesn't come with wall bracket, so now I have to pay for extra wall bracket and worry about the strength, and pay extra for workers to come and install and mount it for me, and worry about whether they will know what they are doing. So I cancelled the whole thing. Then today out of the blue I saw this offer for last year's model, major price drop to $500 only, and comes with free delivery, wall bracket included, and free installation. I jumped at it. I'm at the point where I don't even care about HDR10+ and MotionFlow and Dolby Vision, just give me SIZE and decent picture quality in the dark with the lights off. They make research too freakin complicated. That's why people decide to go with the cheap option. They just get burned out with this option not working out, that option not working out, until finally they don't care about anything anymore except price and size. I just want to get this up and not think about researching specs again for another 10 years.

I have this TV in a 55inch for my bedroom and just ordered the 70inch for the gym/lounge area of my home. The quality leaves a lot to be desired especially when I have a 85 and 55 LG OLED in the house already. But you can't beat the price. As a secondary TV it's a no brainer but as a primary TV I would save up and buy something proper.

  • @cnhhnc

Lots of good info. Very thorough review of menu items. These Hisense entry levels seem to be good value products. The only question is reliability, but as I understand it, ALL TV manufacturers, even LG, Samsung and Sony suffer problems at the entry levels. The race to the bottom impacts quality control and the hardware chosen inside. The panels are pretty much the same panels for almost everyone. I believe TCL or Chinese companies source most of the panels for everyone. The rest is just firmware, software and what processors are being used for the picture.
It's a crazy world these days. With MOST people not really able to distinguish better or worse quality without having TVs right next to each other. Perhaps with the exception of the Hi-end versions and OLED panels which always seem to POP above the rest.
However, how many of US really need a 100% color gamut or the best 2020 color space?
IMO. The Hisense U7K models are about as good as what anyone but the most discerning and demanding videophile would want. And almost ANY entry level TV is about the same as almost any other to the average eye. Without an entry Sony or Samsung next to an entry level TCL or Hisense no one would know. And frankly, all of those lower model sets are quite similar. The TCLs and Hisenses have pretty much copied and tweaked the Big Boys and the Big Boys have trouble competing at the lower margin level. Hence, a hundred or even two hundred dollar difference for pretty much comparable TVs. What's NOT to like at this level!
70" also a nice size. As they say if it's a choice between a more expensive 55" or a cheaper 75", SIZE does matter! Nice work!

Keeping it real, anything better than what you got is better. A low cost big screen is 10 times better than anything ten years ago. Don’t get caught up in the hype. Hisense makes great budget TVs that slay rear projection TVs we thought were awesome in the past. I have a usg75 that cost less than a 1000 bucks now, and everyone that sees it is impressed.

If you compare this with something that costs twice as much, to something that costs 4 times or more as much, you will see a difference. But even when compared to TVs from a few years ago, this fares better for a lower price than many. I will let you know once I get my hands on one. But is is QLED technology, which should give it a better picture quality upgrade but most likely not a *huge* one though. Brightness and HDR performance aren't a huge jump. It is not AndroidTV like this one, which I feel is a downgrade.
