It doesn't have anything to do with you mate. It's all on her poor decision making. My ex wife did a similar thing. I worked too much. She was lonely. He was there for her. So on and so forth. He had no job. Came to me after I moved out asking for money to pay the light bill. I slowly shut the door in her face.

This reminds me of a dude who used to come into the bar I worked at. He had like two kids, two step kids, and like 4 adopted kids. Made good money, great dad. Wife runs off to fool around. He says he wants custody of all the kids and for her to never bother them again. She says okay, but I want that classic car you rebuilt. He didn't even hesitate. "Great dad", yeah sure. Look at the mother he gave his kids. I'm tired of men getting away with marrying trash women.
Imagination if your sister leased a room in her house out to a single guy with twins. The guy worked at McDonald's part time and said he was trying to get back on his feet. He'd been sober for 6 months, so your sister thinks he's good to go. He's also tall and attractive. She marries him. Bro, she'd have to eat that decision. Nobody would feel sorry for her.

You don't have the right to complain about the relationship if you choose to be a stay-at-home wife with three kids that need a lot of money to support. Get a job, and you'll be able to see your husband/wife more often at home. More people working means less of a need to stay overtime at work to support your family's financial health.

People today should be grateful that their partners are working hard, so the house is well maintained. But I guess people think differently.
Also, why didn't she talk about her wants and needs? Because women still think that we men can f*cking read minds like Professor X.
Something that bothers me, is that when women say shit like, "You don't spend time with me", "You're always gone for days", or my favorite "You are not as affectionate as before", well if you don't want him to work as much then how about you get a part time job or a full time job and help him release some of his tension thag he has about finances. Oh but she said she wants to be a SAHW/M (Stay at home wife/mom), well you can start a online business, or like OP said she can teach people how to cook, because let me tell you a lot of people need that experience these days.

No, she's just abusive. She picked out op at a party because he was wealthy and wormed her way into his life.
There's some telling info in how he's afraid to confront her at the beginning of this.
As soon as she was presented with someone she felt have her another one of her needs, she bounced. The wife's kids were used to blackmail him into money so she could have both at once. That's why she didn't grab his biokid, the law would fuck her up quick for kidnapping, and he'd probably get awarded emergency custody.
Ops mistake was not changing locks and filing for emergency custody immediately when both came back

i came to the very same conclusion. however imho the drugs are secondary, the primary problem is unwillingness to take responsibility for your own actions or lack thereof, facing your own problems and emotions, victimizing yourself, blaming others, deflecting, lying, cheating, deceiving, manipulating etc. and those patterns of behaviour are present before substance consumption
I don't think drugs fundamentally changes you, but then all i base my judgment is my own (past ?) alcohol consumption and some friends weed consumption. Hopefully gone for good (almost no alcohol consumption in 2 months).

To the man who works their ass off to pay all bills and have no kind of troubles reach their family, "does she appreciate you putting all the hard work? Or does she only complain about what you can't provide/sacrifice in order to provide what is needed? What does she say to the kids when they ask where's dad or why does dad work so much?" The gap in maturity is often blinded by love because the one in love will always make up reasons to hide/excuse the other's flaws which eventually will turn up to be harmful to the family

Having a previous a marriage is a bad sign in a partner, second marriages have higher divorce rate than first marriages, and it does not get better

If it wasnt the work hours, it would've been any other issue. If it wasn't the mechanic, it would've been anyone else.
The reality is that she was always the problem, and never would've dealt with her issues. Even when threatening self ending, she just blamed everyone else. No accountability, no care for others. Just whatever her interest in that very moment is.

Scorched earth! Many moons ago my uncle was much like this. He worked alot and his wife was a stay at home wife who cheated fairly regularly. They bought a new trans am back in the 90s. One day while at work a friend of his came up and asked when he got back. He asked him what he meant as he has been there all morning. His friend tells him that's weird he just saw his wife with another man he assumed was my uncle driving around in that new car. My uncle called the bank and told them to come get the car right now because he wasn't making another fricken payment. He should do the same, call the bank and tell them he isn't making another payment. Come get it if they want it. Her living is her problem.

5:30 i tell you what she wanted. To have a rich husband who is also only ever at home, and money is not an issue. Nice dream... unrealistic but for a DREAM it is nice. I bet everyone would love to have a rich bff with benefits.

sounds like a clear cut case of abandonment, take out an ad in the paper saying you're divorcing her then actually divorce her, also file for sole custody of your daughter and refuse to pay alimony unless ordered to by a judge

    SIMP.
Marries a single mother with two children and doesn't even bother to find out basic information about the ex -- talk with him, talk to his family, read their custody agreement (or insist one is in place), ensure child support is being paid, see about visits with his family, etc.
Then she leaves and he takes his time getting a lawyer, doesn't file, doesn't call CPS, doesn't get his car back, doesn't file for abandonment, doesn't get a restraining order, doesn't ask the court for drug testing, doesn't block her, doesn't have his lawyer require she go through him, doesn't stop paying for her phone, doesn't require the kids to have nightly check-ins, etc.
