Sure, sometimes we joke about Mio seeing the future, but the way she can adapt every reading to the customer and keep things clear and relevant to them is a pretty strong skill to have. Instead of being a set of instructions, Big God Mio serves as a guide, helping to untangle troubled thoughts.

People do not give fortune tellers like Mama Mio enough credit in just how much skill and work it takes to do what they do. She had to draw matsuri in to find out what Matsuri was really asking and then with each card find the best way to fit the meanings into a narrative that helps Matsuri while pulling out more information, with every card it becomes more complex. Now this is not saying that Mio lied to, tricked, or used Matsuri in any fashion she helped her and gave her good solid advice that is much easier to swallow with the format Mio used. That is why I love Mama Mio's fortune telling, because the reason she looks truly physic is that her skill at reading people, wisdom, and ability to read the deeper meaning behind people's actions and words letting her make proper guesses and give proper advice. Hopefully Matsuri takes the advice to heart cause it sounded like the poor girl is under a lot of stress with much of it being self imposed.

From what I understand, the tower usually signifies big changes of your perception to reality and the hanged man foretells big unfortunate events that can stunt a person's growth. In essence they are but a big change in life which the person needs to learn to adapt and overcome, the fact that they are negative or positive is second in importance.

A lot of tarot readers believe that a reversed Death card means actual death, but like any other card the most accurate meaning is simply the opposite of what it would normally mean. Like any reversed card. No wonder her readings are always so good, it really looks like she's very experienced.
Unfortunately, that fact they’re japanese makes it very unlikely. Like often you can see the Holomem challenging each other to say they love/like another member. In my culture that challenge would be pathetic cause I come from South America but for them it’s hard. Matsuri’s way of being very open with her feelings is really rare in their culture. Still, Mio did say that Matsuri shouldn’t be worry about what others think because they like her a lot more than she thinks, so in a way, she did say Matsuri is loved.
Mama mio readings are so good to listen to because they are really on point. It's heartwarming to see how she says they will have things to overcome, and even though it will be hard, they will become stronger and persevere on their own terms.
