Read her book dear, or watch this interview in full not just this teeny segment. Ms. Riva was not jealous she did not have hard feelings towards her mother were they super close in her youth no as she said herself it was nothing personal but with her mother it was her career first that was her mindset. Marlene appreciated her deeply Maria was her constant companion on the set of most of her films. They were the dearest of friends. Ms. Dietrich just wasn't the mother who made cookies type.

Miss Riva is completely right on what she said in here.

Maria Riva's book on Dietrich is fabulous only a daughter who really loved her Mother could have shared her life with her with such intensity. Dietrich and Riva created the whole "Dietrich" magic together they collaborated on "Dietrich" as their primary character and everything else was secondary.

I think it is because Maria strikes me as an approachable person but I do think it is terribly rude to pounce on famous people in the street....

YOUR WORK IS TO ASK EXCUSES TO HOLLYWWOD OF HAVING BLACKLISTED HER IN THE 5O'. THAT WAS FASCISM ! DO IT ABSOLUTELY ! IT's AN HORROR AFTER HER SERVING 3 YEARS IN THE US ARMY AND DECORATED. MRS RIVA GIVE US A RESPONSE : DOES HOLYWOOD HAS OFFER EXCUSES AFTER 60 YEARS ? IT'S SO A SHAME. WITH LOVE
