Stay safe. It's amazing that the birds are out and about and not holed up somewhere. I don't like wind either, it's terrifying.

@@lorrainerichardson3280 yes it surprised me too but I guess hunger pushes them out of hiding - they’re being blown about like little tufts of fluff but once they land they seem to be able to hold steady. Terrifying is the right word for wind!!

I've got friends in Wales who've said trees have come down, blocking roads. Apparently the noise is intense! Stay safe

@@drivealonguk7793 yes I’ve seen on our village Facebook group that some roads around us are blocked because of fallen trees. My next door neighbour has had some trees come down in her field.

Yes, That storm was awful with all that rain and strong gusty winds.
I think all the west country and wales had it very bad. I don't think we had it as bad as you, but we still had rain and very gusty winds of about 55mph or maybe more.
I was getting blown around in town and struggling with my umbrella in that wind. I remember arriving home and finding my bedroom window had some how blown wide open with the curtains blowing out the window and getting wet in the rain and also the net curtains being ripped to shreds.🌧🌧🌧🌬🌬🌬🌬🌬

@@SallyBarnes274 oh goodness, you don’t expect your window to blow open do you! The wind must have been battering your house to rip those nets up. I’ve never seen such relentless wind for such a sustained period of time. Overall I think I was pretty lucky though, with the exception of some trees falling or splitting in the fields, we didn’t have any serious damage. Hope you’re able to sort your curtains out without too much bother.

@@mymessyplot Yes, That wind was howling and never seem to stop for over two days. I managed to dry out my curtains, but the nets were ruined but managed to find some to replace the old ones. My umbrella took a battering in town as it constantly blew inside out from those very gusty winds and also my hat blew away. We had a lot of trees blown down and some flooding. I was glad my roof never blew off thank god xxxx

@ I’ve never gotten on with umbrellas, they always seem to catch in the wind and get in the way! Maybe I’ve just never found the right one. I was worried about my roof too - especially the one on the outbuilding. Let’s hope this is the last storm for a good long while.

@@mymessyplot Yes, Wind can cause havoc with umbrellas and can be a handful when they get blown inside out. I think you need to find the right umbrella that suits you. I found one that I liked that can cope with these sort of winds and has lasted years.
my umbrella is a gustbuster windproof golf umbrella even tho it has blown inside out on many occasions, but has never broke in the strongest gusts of wind.
I glad your roof survived but unfortunately we probably will get more storms like this during the winter months. I got used to fighting with my umbrella in these winds LOL 🌧🌧🌬🌬🌬☔🌂

It`s been a bit scary here, so I have done as I was told and not left the house.
My daughter was in a night club in Cardiff yesterday evening on an end of term do when everyone got the alert. She said it was really strange. Her cats are unsettled too. They want to go out, but don`t want to when they see the weather.
I found some candles last night and put some water in containers just in case. The water has been ok so far, but I lost power for a while this morning. That`s worrying because I lost everything, heating, internet, so didn`t know what was going on or how long it would last. It`s back on now and the winds seem to be lessening.
Glad you`re OK, I was thinking it might be worse where you are, but I think the coast has had it the worst. I just worry now about those poor people in Pontypridd. I do hope they don`t get flooded again.

@@mywildwelshgarden-es3fr I was actually in Tonyrefail last night, planning to stay at my aunty’s house, but decided to rush back home before the worst of the weather. I didn’t want to be away from home and worrying about what was happening here. We drove through Pontypridd at around 7pm and everything seemed ok but the rain was very heavy so I hope all it still ok there. I thought of you as I passed Swansea on the M4 yesterday and this morning I said to myself ‘I must check if Isabel is ok’ 😂
Luckily we’ve not lost power. I’m glad yours didn’t go off for too long. Let’s hope we’ve already seen the worst of it. I don’t want to spend another sleepless night tonight listening to the wind. It’s still raging out there now!

Hi Sameena, I'm working my way through your videos and enjoying them. Just a thought before you make heaps of them can you please number them in the titles then if you mention a chore in one and in a later one carry on the chore you can just tell your viewers which video it is by the number. Just a thought. Hopefully your wind is dying down. Take care.

@@lorrainerichardson3280 hi Lorraine, yes I can do that if it would be helpful 🙂 if you watch the first video I made you’ll have to excuse all the heavy breathing 🤣 I had my mic set to the highest sensitivity so when I was out of breath walking up and down the hills, you could hear it.
