Hah, good question... it was the first day of the trip, the wind was cross offshore. New kite, new board... playing it safe! Ride hard and ride smart, right? :-P
Maybe the added aluula is just about using the waste material from cutting out the bigger parts and for being cool of course. And for the 4×4 ripstop: maybe it streches less over time so that the kite keeps its characteristics for a longer time. This would make total sense since the aluula Kites seem to get updated less frequently.
Always an emotion seeing Ruben on a slingshot kite.... feels right like feng shui
Right! Hah, feels like home
Brooo! So so happy to see you back in action!! Niice kite!! And what a ride Ruben Lenten style. We missed you brother, glad you're back! Legend!
Thanksss. Always good to ride hard and fly high with some new gear :-)
@@Kitemana yes man the gear coming out lately are insane!!
Where were the loops on day 1 Ruben? 😅 Perfect kickers

Finally someone that is not kiting in that boring harbor..
Hah, there are more spots for sure... harbour is fun tho - ruben
I absolutely didn't get what is new on the 2025 NXT but who cares when Ruben is jumping und BEP is pumping. :)
Nevertheless, cool video 👍
Ok cool, but what is your opinion ruben ?
My opinion, great performing kite... love the Slingshot feel and durability. How do u like it from what you see so far?
I tried it and loved it
So using quad ripstop makes it 500g more heavy than dlab?
Why focus so much on weight saving if you’re using quad ripstop?
Slingshot bets so much on durability
It’s not only about weight saving but also and mainly about structural performance
@@filippos.4287 think so, too. Ruben just made it sound like all this added Aluula would be for weight saving in the video.
