As soon as the nerfs dropped, I was looking for a video from Implausible Nature to "make it make sense". Thanks for posting so quickly. BTW, the biologis used to be 55 points, so he went up by 15, together with "fire discipline" and the eradicators. That combo really got hit hard.
The invader is an 8 wound T5 multi-melta delivery system. It's a decent runner to grab a weak side objective, hold it for a turn and die gloriously in the service of the Emperor
The fact that fervent acclamation affects the vow-dependent stratagems (as a lot of us thought it should) is a nice consolation despite the nerfs... Like you say, it's even better if the enhancements are affected as well - if you hear anything back from GW on that one, definitely let us know. Good stuff as always lads.
This nerf really isnt that bad, im in the same boat as you. but it didnt really affect my list. just made it so i cant take tanhausers bones. thats all
Righteous Crusaders can still be awesome. Some seriously solid defence with uphold. Two scary units with 5+ fnp. 6+fnp on 10+wound models can really shrug off some hits. Or for out an out carnage… two scary units with sus and Leth on 5+ is pretty intimidating. Have faith brothers.
I want to say thank you for the BT video as usual. I share most of the same sentiment, except... Let me start with, I am not a competitive player, I play and own Vanguard Vets with Jump Packs and I don't think they are terrible, imagine 10 with a +1 to wound from a Chaplin on Jump Pack, man, that is a hell of fun! Rapid ingress their backline and mess them up!! Most of the time they are my MVP squad, actually. Maybe my success is because of the people I play against, maybe it's the consistency in using them properly (no need to over extend always, but also no need to play ultra safe) Now I challenge you to actually play them and see how they feel! Fast guys with a ton of damage output potential, specially if you land the charge, and have some interesting strat to boost them, I like "Mercy is Weakness" from Iron Storm Spearhead. Actually the reason why I decided to test them was because I watched one of your videos (th-cam.com/video/iOT4Fj9y_YI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZC8ttOj1IL_gyKs9&t=710) and decided to see how they would work, since then I became a huge fan of this style of army. At that video you said you two were fans of this unit. :( Maybe I should try swapping to blood angels, but honestly, I like BT too much for that. :D Moment in this video you criticize the Vanguard Vets: th-cam.com/video/xB23hawIz50/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ks-_YTgiKGD_9WQy&t=924
My Blood Angels, use to run Vanguard vets with shield, and attach the sang priest with jump pack for a 5+ FNP, but now they deleted the sang priest with JP so now I dropped van gets from the list, not sure why the price went up. Maybe because they can take Melta pistols, 10 of them!
Fielding a squad with Lieutenant, that can deep strike, charge, tie up an enemy, and with a lucky roll, *might* slay a character, sounds pretty cool to me. Maybe they are better for Blood Angels, my Space Marine army is a team up, but I think the idea is cool. I take the point that something else does most of that for cheaper, but I'm with Bob, I think the Reiver pick deserves to be tested.
Such a shame. My list went up by 100points. So in theory i only had to take out an impulsor and the witchseeker bolts enhnacement. However, i think GW really missed the point with the increase in points. It was far too drastic. Im still going to run two crusader squads!!! Keep the flames burning brothers!
@26:30 for me it was clear as I read it in the FAQ.... dont ask GW. Its (like you say) the same arguement... I didnt played this so before because I argued the same way.
It was an unnessecary nerf because if you looked at all of the tournament data Templars were still under the 50% winrate. A small sample of players running 60+ Crusaders scared GW and they give us a knee-jerk reaction nerf.
I dont play 40k anymore but there is one thing i dont understand. Maybe you can enlighten me. 1 Sword Brother, 4 Iniates and 5 Neophytes are 135. The same Squad but with 9 Initiates and 10 Neophytes is 290. Thats more than double the amount of points. Isn't it smarter to play two smaller squads for 270 instead, offering the same amount of firepower / combat prowess but with a second sword Brother?
its because mass crusadersquads crushed the meta. Olivier Weiss destroyed everything with his list. His team won the WTC and he won every single game with 120 crusaders
i got to play 1 game just one before these nerf came down and i just decided to be a black templar main still going to play them just going to split pcs to 10 and add assault intersserors
Honestly, the only nerfs you might seriously feel are Grimaldus and Helbrecht unless you're doing competitive black tide shenanigans.Sword Brethren spam and using Marshals/Castelans won't change.
@@Zakading well i was going for 3 squads of 20 pcs i had two done i was pretty much going to use them to keep them from moving forward and be annoying for a turn or two cause i face orks with lots of boys most the time so move blocking is not hard
@@Zakading yeah but i am going to also split the 20 pcs into 10 since that only 10 points more then add assault intercessors then use land raider crusader instead of redeemer maybe remove grimaldus
No divergent chapters should have been allowed to play space marine detachments. The nerfs come from playing BT in detachments not designed for the models. If everyone had played BT in righteous crusade it would have been fine.
although I agree that BT should not be allowed other detachments - same for DA, BA and DA. In this case Rightous Crusaders was so strong with 100+ crusaders.
This edition has really put a bad taste in my mouth even if my Guard army is eating well this time around. I've started running OPR demos at my local shop The index FAQ thing is one of the reasons im losing interest in 40k.
We are reunited to pay respects to our BTs...an army that had a 40% win rate with a fun gimmick to go 60 crusaders...now banished.
60 crusaders were bad before too... you need 100+ because of being a stat check army.
Let this moment of humbling be resolved into holy purpose within your hearts brothers...

I’ll take credit for posting the index card Strat update in the discord ⭐️

Even better in Firestorm

I literally just got into table top and bought a black Templar army and started painting wow
If you're not playing at the competitive level, this nerf will not affect you. All of these units are still perfectly usable.
This nerf really isnt that bad, im in the same boat as you. but it didnt really affect my list. just made it so i cant take tanhausers bones. thats all
It doesn’t matter that much. Every 3 months there’s a point update, get the reps in whilst weak and prosper when are STRONK!
I told ya. “Nah we don’t win enough for PCS to be nerfed”. My list went up 65 points so I just dropped one of 2 scouts.
Why do I get the feeling GW doesn't like people fielding horde armies in general?🤔
They love horder armies. It's Orks now. Then they'll get nerfed so the selling cycle continues.
If that was the case they'd bother actually adjusting rules instead of just making every army cost 5ppm and forcing them to field dozens of models.
They want us to buy space marine 2.
Bought your dice on dice baron😂😂😂 soon as I saw them 😂😂.

I’m all for this comment, I currently run the sus, lethal 5+ 2 units.
Also I will be playing that the enhancements + fervant acclimation combo works.
Sigismunds seal may be getting purchased in my emperor Vow army still!

For Sigismund!

So which armies does GW want to sell? Custodes aren’t pushing the needle as far as I know.
I was mostly being facetious.

I’m going to play enhancements the same as the strats and argue the wording is the same.
So you’re going to cheat.
This edition has really put a bad taste in my mouth even if my Guard army is eating well this time around. I've started running OPR demos at my local shop

Whyyyyy?!
Righteous Crusaders is a weak detachment IMO. I’d play Gladius or Stormlance with Templars over it. Have faith for the December update.
Easy there heretic.
