It's crazy you mention you been feeling down and that you got blood work..about 3 weeks ago I was feeling real gloomy went in for an anual exam and I mention that to them and they did some blood work and I was diagnosed with hypothyroid. Feeling gloomy is one of the main symptoms for a thyroid problem.
Also low B12 or a B12 deficiency! Glad you got an answer! I just finally got diagnosed with pernicious anemia/autoimmune disease where my body can't absorb B12 through my stomach. 40% of the United States is B12 deficient. My B12 was 3 above the normal low range over 5 years ago and they missed that I had pernicious anemia then. Finally pushed for blood tests again to test folate and B12, came back extremely low. Then I had to push for them to test me for the antibodies to the intrinsic factor... came back positive. Trust your gut and body when you know something is off. B12 is extremely important for mental health, DNA turn over, postpartum issues, trying to get pregnant etc. So many people are mis-diagnosed with other things and there is a reason the United States has a mental health issue. Before me pushing for full blood tests, the doctor just tried to prescribe antidepressants. Which there is nothing wrong with them, but I was not depressed. I was having severe panic attacks, fatigue, difficulty breathing, fainting. Now I'm on B12 injections for life.
Mishka1811 At first my Dr. recommended me to cut off "Gluten" food which is known to make you feel groggy. I do believe gluten food is not good but I knew it was something else so I am glad I pushed for some blood work. I am glad you found out what your issue was as well. Its scary to get abnormal blood results but as soon as we know whats going on we can start working on them.
Please ladies have your doctors run Vitamin D tests as low D contributes majorly with thyroid disease ie: autoimmune hashimotos (hypothyroid) demand hashimotos antibody tests as well.
@@AliciaBug120 I have consistently has low vitamin D too my whole life. I asked my doctor to do the thyroid antibodies test and he won't... So frustrating because I know I have another autoimmune disease along with PA. It's either my thyroid or my adrenals but my doctors aren't listening to me
