Most of the Filipino singers specially the more famous ones like Regine Velasquez, Lea Salonga, Morissette, Kyla and many more others started out singing when they were still young, joining many singing compititions to honed their talents. So, early on, they discovered the things that their voices can do like the high notes/low register, scatting, riffs and runs or the whistle tones that’s why now it’s easier for them to showcase their amazing talents and it really just comes out naturally. BUT, everything started with having to PRACTICE EVERYDAY to be as really good as what they are today plus being passionate with their crafts and the support system that they have from their family and friends.
Maybe Ovela is finally a singer when he continue watching and learning..Please take a regular voice lessons..I wanna see you doing covers, having your own studio, editing and mixing stuffs..I want to be a sound engineer too..

Actually Katrina Velarde is the one with unnecessarily fast riffs and runs. Kyla's runs matches the timing of the song (and the portion of the song she squeezed that riff in).. She can only do it slower if the song it self will be slower as well.
I second your sentiment. Aside from that, I personally think that Kyla has a better placement of riffs and runs hence they always sounded flowy and fit with the song.
