I think it would be a fun challenge to squeeze a RC motor, servo and Sbrick into the chassis. Though this has to be one of lego's most detailed sets for the size.
and it wouldn't be so easy to put in a rc car motor because you'd need an esc and the standard sized servo would be to large. Oh and where you going to put in a lipo battery for example ?

It's all good, don't think there is really a right or wrong way. More a personal preference. For example I don't like the way the white licence plate looks , so when I get mine, I probably will re do the nose section, so it isn't there or have a place to put it. Just like on the VW Bug. I used the California plates so the extra jumper on the engine cover looked tacky, so its was replaced with a 1x2 tile. Great review as always!!
Just completed mine. An enjoyable, strait forward build. However, the nose cone fits very loosely. It comes off at a touch. I enjoyed the printed bricks. Building the dashboard with its steering wheel and side mirrors had it's frustrating moments. Overall, despite the points mentioned, looking at it on display, it's a lovely set. Not a play model due to its fragility. Once completed best left on display.
The elbow piece is technically a new part: it's been redesigned on the inside to legally allow Technic connections. The black sticker on the rear fenders would have gone across multiple pieces and that's something Lego luckily don't do anymore. I think the pros easily outweigh the cons so I'll be buying the set but I'm looking forward to Carl's instructions for bringing the steering back!
Decent set, although it won't be at creator standard due to those connections. Official sets are more robust while this set has more detail. Also I wish the car was in British racing green. I know it is impossible since Mini Cooper is in that color already.

Mine has some problems. The exhaust manifold collides with the engine bay wall causing the engine to unexpectedly pop out, the lights collide with each other and are hard to align, and the nose won’t fit. I have followed instructions carefully, and don’t have any non spares left over.
I remember when I was like 7 years old I always liked "extra" pieces and I though that only happened to me or veeery few people then at the age of 14 I noticed they were intentionally putted in bags and it wasn't special anymore :(

Hey, if you haven't already done this ( not sure ), could you try making a lego vehicle, powered by a hamster wheel? maybe your hamster even learns how to drive it.

You could try squeezing a Servo and PF L motor, though. Not easy, but perhaps not impossible.

Yes, albeit because they have no tread pattern, the entire car sticks, so there's lots of grip.

You can place the jack stands in the boot assembled as well. You are the only reviewer, I've seen so far, that has taken them apart to store them.

You should make a WW2 era artillery piece. For example the M12 with small linear actuators to lift the gun.
