Great video Laura. Just watched part one, and located part two for tomorrow. My friend Andy and I plan to do the same trip this summer and he linked me this vid. Admittedly we are 60s and you likely half our age, just you girls ride like the clappers! I was bracing for an accident to happen. You're so posh and enthusiastic, its adorable. Keep riding and filming Laura ❤
Oh absolutely stupendous trip, very entertaining one thanks to the both of you two 😁😄 🌝 I'm dying to arrange a multi day event myself though I don't see any of that coming in my way in the near future 🤕 Really appreciated being brought around and taking a look at the South Downs area, I'm always keen to discover new places; impressive map reading skills eh Laura! Juliet must rely completely on you to get back home safe 😄🤗
Why can't you do it Francesco? Did my 1st solo multiday bikepacking this year. Absolutely loved it. Going to try and get a few 1 nighters in before end of summer. Then plan for a decent ride next year. If you need a buddy rider, I'll volunteer
Have been to Winchester 3 times now for start and finish points of sdw and kaw and I have yet to find either so far 🤣. Lovely vid sdw lookin awesome 👍😃
Found your channel via Juliet Elliott. Thank you for the best South Downs cycling video - you display a much better understanding knowledge and appreciation of your surroundings (flora forna and wildlife) and what the viewer wants to see and experience. Thought some of the shots from other vids, Warhorse house, the Reservoir and the Quarries looked familiar, they are similar to (Steve's) Online Video Channel also from the Plymouth area - might be worth a look ? Hats off to you with the swimming, closest I get is with my GoPro looking at the fish. Keep'em coming.
Hello, thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment 🙏 I’ll have to check out that channel. The swimming I can’t live without now, I’ll be a fish soon 😂
@@lauragriffithsoutdoors No, thank you for giving us such entertainment, do check out Learn Online Video, on one of his vids he has >6m views, so your location must have something going for it? If you do decide to become a mermaid don't forget to take your GoPro waterproof case so that you can keep sending us your vids ;) Look forward to the next :)
awesome video, great to see some of my local trail sections and to see you guys having such a laugh :) loved seeing you send it down Butser and smashing the trails around old winchester hill - hardtails forever! positive vibes
Looks like a great ride- i live in the South Downs National Park and i have not been brave enough to do that ride yet. It’s funny to see part of my daily commute on a video though👍🏻
I noticed you had a suspension fork. Your friend did not. Curious about the amount of vibration over the gravel portions. Do you experience issues with the jarring impacts to shoulder or wrists?
Hi David i have never ridden a gravel bike like my friends so I couldn’t compare. I have a hardtail because I come from a mtb back ground. Juliet likes a gravel bike because she is from a road background. I personally do like having the forks for more control on the rough stuff
We talked about this quite alot and both bikes were too close, I like flat bars juliet likes drops, with gravel tires on either bike they were so similar
Hi yes I was warm in the Bivi, the Bivi acts like an extra layer more so than a tent. I have done quite a lot of nights out in it in different weather year round
@@lauragriffithsoutdoors oh ok I did have a quick look but couldn’t work out which one was you so many ladies with the same name couldn’t work out from pic either lol

We’re so lucky to have each other xx
Amazed that you followed Juliet and didn't get lost..lol. Lovely to see you both on a joint adventure. ❤️❤️
😂 OS maps was definitely more reliable than the garmin, Juliet’s garmin did give us some questionable directions
I've no idea why you make these videos, but I like watching them. You obviously had a great time. I love hearing you laugh.
Thank you we really did have a good time
Your videos cheer me up .Now the nights are drawing in and I'm indoors.
Great video👍 looks like you had a blast.
Awesome. The long grassy descent and your laughing pretty sums up why biking is so great 🤩
Mountain bike is defiantly the best!

Wow thats proper hilly ! I bonked a few weeks ago 7 miles from home and felt crap plodding home with zero energy. Looking forward to Part 2
Urgh it’s such a horrible feeling! I’m glad juliet and I didn’t bonk at the same time 😂
Do more video like these...more bikepacking videos and camping...😊
Have been to Winchester 3 times now for start and finish points of sdw and kaw and I have yet to find either so far 🤣. Lovely vid sdw lookin awesome 👍😃

Thank you, there was so wicked fast descents round your way
JE said you had a channel. Looks like a lot of fun, wish I was young again.

Hi Laura looks like your having great time ,love your camping set up well done 😉
Thanks I do love a bivi when the weather is on my side
I think its one of the best ways to camp

Great trip and You 2 have a great rapport. Looking forward to Part 2.
That’s what best friends are for
Well done girls! Looking back, what would you say was the better choice of bike - gravel bike or mountain bike?
We talked about this quite alot and both bikes were too close, I like flat bars juliet likes drops, with gravel tires on either bike they were so similar
Hi Laura you two have the best time ! Wondered if you was warm enough in your bed set up not being in a tent ?
Hi yes I was warm in the Bivi, the Bivi acts like an extra layer more so than a tent. I have done quite a lot of nights out in it in different weather year round
Are you on strava for you rides and your wonderful walk ?
I am on Strava but i don’t often record my rides or walks as much as I used to, Mainly because of the extra battery it uses
@@lauragriffithsoutdoors oh ok I did have a quick look but couldn’t work out which one was you so many ladies with the same name couldn’t work out from pic either lol
Is it the osprey seral 7 you have?
Hello yes it is
