Unfortunately, the bead thing is legit. Something about a cheater in a chess competition using one or a similar device to stimulate his brain by stimulating... yeah. Don't know how that works, but it did.
It was a bluetooth controlled vibrating device that they had someone make it vibrate to tell them what move they should make depending on the pattern they made it vibrate in
