    This is the League South Cup Final at Wembley which Chelsea won 2-0 in 1945. John McDonald at number 11 scored one of the winning goals

    Compared to baseball uniforms, football kits haven't changed very much over the decades.

    عندما كانت كرة القدم بلا أي معنى ، اذا كانت هذه الرياضة استمرت بهذا الشكل لكانت الآن شعبيتها لا تزيد على شعبية العاب ككرة اليد و البيسبول و كرة السلة ، اعتقد انه يجب النظر في مشروعية البطولات التي تم احتسابها في هذه العصور لأنه كما يبدو ان اللعبة كانت بعيدة كل البعد عن ما نعرفه الآن

    why are the goalkeepers not wearing tops ?

      To set them apart, I think. So the players can easily know who is the goalkeeper. Same reason why goalkeepers where bright coloured uniforms these times.

    I cannot find any record of a game at Wembley in 1940, but if anyone has information please post it, thanks.
    I checked 11v11, TheChels,info, Wikipedia and general google search
