I wish the Dancing Dolls were back in my day. I was sooo flexible back then - just like these girls. I surely would have joined their team b/c I absolutely loved dancing. Now, I truly understand why old people say things like..."I remember back when..." cuz they ain't got it no mo and I ain't either. Awwww, the good ole days...when lemonade had real lemons and I had flexibility.....things would have been more exciting if Miss D and the Dancing Dolls were at our high school back then. (smile) Keep up the good work girls! So proud of you!

Miss D doing a great job teaching here on this video. Her pace is perfect, and in the dance business they're looking for girls who can learn and catch on fast. Miss D teaching you the steps and if you can't catch on in 3 attempts, then dance isn't for you. Coaches don't have the time to keep going over and over on dance moves just because you can't catch on fast like the rest of the girls. It's the same when you tryout for a danceline at a university like Southern, JSU, etc. A truly gifted dancer catches on to moves and routines fast. The coaches have to come up with new moves and teach a different routine every week so only the strongest will survive in the dance business. Btw, my wife and I are alums of the "Human JukeBox" marching band (85). She also was a Dancing Doll. We both are still bandheads and watch "Bringing It". We love that show and Miss D. All this show attention on this type of style of dance wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the notoriety of the JSU J-Settes. The J-Settes put this style of dance on the map and brought it out to the world now. Even though JSU is Southerns rival, this is still positive for our kids.

The hand clap has always been one of my favorite Dancing Dolls stands and I am glad I finally got to see how they do the dance. I will learn to do that myself.
all the people complaining she teaches too fast it is for a DVD and no one has time to really break down every single little detail. plus Every dance teacher I have had since I was 7 years old has taught at that speed. I have been dancing since I was 4 and I am now 19 and it is all about how fast you can pick up the steps. and as a dancer gets older they should be able to pick up dances very quick or you will get cut plain and simple. lucky for me i am a visual learner so i can pick up anything after watching someone do it 2 to 3 times. And im on my college's dance team and they look for girls who can pick up the material quickly and execute it and if you were to ever try out for a music video as a dancer best believe they will be looking for that. these choreographers don't have time to baby you with these steps they expect you to be trained or if you are like me just naturally gifted in dance with a added training under your belt

I wish Lifetime would play the actual music they dance to in competitions. I guess they can't because of copyright reasons but they can at least play some music similar? They have really good dances but Lifetime plays old McDonald had a farm music over it.
