John Charles “J.C.” Young represents the fifth generation of agricultural producers on both sides of his family. He was born in Missouri and raised on working cow-calf operations across Utah and Arizona. His early career consisted of a decade of ranch management across large working landscapes comprised of comingled deeded, U.S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management grazing permits in Arizona and New Mexico.
With an appreciation for good cow horses, J.C. expanded his opportunities to include training, selling, and competitively showing cutting horses on and off for the last decade and a half. He’s been privileged to work with some of the business’s most well-respected cutting horse trainers. He maintains those relationships today while continuing to train cutting horses for his competitive interests and personal growth. His interest in cutting horses complements his continued commitment to the cattle industry.
For the last decade, J.C. has managed his own cow-calf business and expanded his understanding of state grazing leases. Because of his long-standing family ties to agriculture, passion for land management and livestock, and network across the ranching and show-horse community, J.C. has the desire to help others who share similar interests.
