    You guys arguing about how much horsepower it had and what was quicker new or old. WHO CARES! It's the nostalgia that counts here! It's a 426 Hemi with a pistol grip shifter in a car that is fun to drive! It might not be the fastest car on the road, but it's no slouch either! It'll hold it's own.

      @@mikehocking4836 I see I have another uneducated gearhead who doesn't understand the difference between GROSS and NET horsepower, so here it goes.....the 425 horsepower rating was GROSS dyno hp with no belts, muffler, or are filter.....with those items put on in the car the REAL NET HP drops to 350---starting in 1972 ALL cars have to be rated NET.....in 1972 the 426 in the MOPAR PARTS catalog was listed at 350 NET. The 440-6 was, and is only 325 NET. The 2022 Dodge 5.7 is 375 NET-----MORE than the 426 or 440-6. YOU ARE WRONG--I AM RIGHT. The 426 Hemi is only 350 horsepower----Todays class is dismissed.

    • @chadhaire1711
      @chadhaire1711 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Car Guy daddyo Do you know how to read? I already explained the difference between GROSS DYNO horsepower and NET (real) horsepower. Even at 491 HP on a dyno "with proper tuning" is still only 402 HP AT THE CRANK installed in the car...that is only 27 Hp more than a 2021 5.7 at 375 net. My numbers are 100% correct.

    • @JamesMoore-un3cu

      Arguing about "how much horsepower" this thing had is redundant. It was certainly higher than what the factory rated it, approx 480-500, more if you beef it up. But there is simply NOTHING on the road today, not even a 1000-hp new Challenger that can TOUCH the way these brute engines sounded. I know, because I own a 440 and its a beast. Not the fastest car whatsoever, but the cool factor is off the scale.

    In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
    on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on....
