The song "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues" by Elton John with Lyrics. Here is the link to the website from which I got the lyrics: www.metrolyrics...
I always say; " If you want to hear good music- you got to revert to the days of yore." Real music with very well thought lyrics. Talent like all get-out!
Hi...its good that they were good musical influences for you. There's so much great music younger people aren't listening to and they're missing out. I was so shocked recently, BTW, when I met a vendor on Etsy. I started to write about an experience I had with Prince, and she actually said she didn't know who he was. I was really creeped out. Lol. I thought I'd never see the day I would experience someone who didn't know a musical icon like him, for example. It boggles my damn mind!!!!
My dad, who was a private pilot for years, at the last hour of 2020 "took off and flew away" after his final loving act of selling my parent's house in Texas and moving my mom to live with my oldest sister in Oregon. He was 87-3/4 years old exactly. I sent a message up to him for him to find beings who could help him communicate with me when he was ready. At 12:34 AM last night, I woke up from a dream in which I lived next door to my mother and was visiting her. She was happily singing a song she wanted to share with me. I woke up with this song in my head. I realized I was to share it with my mom. When I listened to it, I realized it was chosen by my dad as the perfect song to comfort her in her deep anguish from missing his physical presence after 65+ years of marriage. I felt my mother's grief and cried loud and long as Elton sang. "Cry in the night if it helps." I also felt my father's deep desire to comfort her. "Don't look at it like it's forever.... More than ever, I simply love you more than I love life itself." This evening as I brought the link back up to listen to it again, I saw that this version is exactly 4:44 length! We all three frequently noticed synchronicities like this and the 12:34 wake-up. My mom says, "Praise the Lord!" whenever miracles like this happen. This could not be a more perfect choice from my memory bank for my dad to share with my mom! Thank you, Alex Still, Bernie Taupin and Elton John.
I remember this song.being huge in 5th grade when it was released. biographical song for me, no doubt. Blue eyes is another killer cool 80s Elton song. I'm still standing is the real deal also. 3 epic songs, but dats jus me. love to all great people out there who dig elton. take care and be well. Elton Forever!
First time i heard this was on mtv in early 80s. Liked it the first time i heard it played. Some songs have to wear on you but not this one. One of those that can get me choked up. Did then, does now.
O used to listen and sing that song a lot and in the part it says "I simply love you more than I love life itself I thought about my mother in this very moment and when she left this world I'm 2016 it was confirmed......
I loved this song since it was released. I always thought "Wait on me girl" was When I'm big girl. its hard to correct myself. lol. makes more sense now.
Me n my baby are kinda struggling n I'm spending my time alone.. But things can only get better.. N the part he says never forget I'm ur man.. Takes my breath away.. I love u rene
I lost my fiancee for good..its so sad losing my best friend and lover. I made some mistakes but I tried and tried. She wants nothing to do with me anymore. I need this too pass. I need to heal
estamos retrocediendo, los actuales compositores, músicos y cantantes, si así se les puede llamar, estan muy, pero muy lejos de llegar a estas creaciones, ...
1 thing thats beautiful is seing that the younger generation appreciate the roots of today's music 🎶

My parents listen to alot of older songs so I'm pretty much obsessed with them and Elton John is my favourite! He is awsome!
I'm so old, I consider this one of Elton's NEW songs.
