BX sheathing is aluminum, these shouldn't have any trouble cutting through that. In fact I'd say the ease with which these cut through BX is a major reason to carry a pair of crosscuts over traditional lineman's. I cut BX with the shears on the knipex strippers all day, works perfectly.
You’re referring to MC. BX is an armored cable that was designed in the 1920s. It has a much harder sheathing than MC, and would absolutely demolish any crosscut pliers

If you do some investigating, you can find them. Now it’s not the cheapest thing to go out and buy but they’re out there…
I think they might be available on eBay. I’ve even reached out to Wiha, and they won’t sell any to me directly
