Yesterday while reading the Bible, the Lord led me to Joel chapters 1, 2, and 3. Ive been saved now for a year, I haven't read the bible completely through yet; (but I am reading and working to correct that). I hadn't read Joel, so this was the first I was reading this. But I was so greatly moved by the Holy Spirit about this. I had just seen a video the day previously by Jason A about biblical events happening in the world, and those same events are written in the chapter the Lord led me to. I keep being led that we need to fast and pray now more than ever. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. The Lord also moved me when reading in the book of Luke. Luke 22:45-46 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The Lord Jesus has put on my heart that, like his disciples in gethsemane, his church is currently sleeping for sorrow. We must not sleep now in a time such as this. Rise and pray. Lest we enter into temptation. God bless you brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Hey bro there is no rapture...I asked the Lord if it were true many years ago and He gave me understanding. Read the word ...all I see is this the wicked and the ungodly are removed from the earth. Read the parable of the tares and the wheat who gets removed first? The Lord's prayer what does Jesus ask? That the father would not take us out of the world but keep us from the evil one. In the book of Revelation it says that Satan will make war against the saints and overcome them. Which saints is he talking about? If we are raptured? Gotta go deeper...why were all the saints of all time being sawed in two boiled in oil etc. And then somehow we are all spared of this suffering? The word says that we are to count it all joy when we share in Christs suffering. This whole rapture doctrine is a deception.

How I wish there was a pastor like Pastor Conlon or his predecessor Pastor Wilkerson near me. A while back I viewed or listened online to all the churches sermons within 3 towns around me and found nothing but church lite. When I finally found ONE church with a pastor with a powerful and uncompromising message locally I went to that church only to find out that the pastor had quit and his previous weeks sermon that I had just listened to the day prior on their website was his last. Their youth pastor tried his best to fill in but he was very inexperienced. I'm not looking for a rock/rap concert or prosperity gospel I want TRUTH!

Go look in the mirror, deep inside yourself, and then you will see you are just as much a sinner as the rest. Then get down on your knees, and pray with your heart to have the Holy Spirit come in and heal all that pain that is killing you. I love Carter Conlon. A powerful message as always. He says here " don't make any promises to God because you can't keep them" I'm curious what are some people's opinions on a new Christian (myself) who foolishly prayed a prayer i'd read online about quitting smoking that ended with... "I covenant in the Name of (Jesus) and before these witnesses [get two witnesses to your prayer] that I will never purchase tobacco or smoke again, or profane Your holy temple, or blaspheme the Name of the Most High. Amen." Well i was only quitting smoking - not because i wanted to - but because the church i went to said that i could only be saved and baptised if i quit smoking. Anyway I feel like I quit smoking under duress and really regret having said that prayer. If i end up smoking again what might be the Biblical implications of that? Thanks
Ask the HOLY Spirit of the Lord to help you quit don't go to men for advice seek the Lord your God in all things! I smoked weed for almost 10 years and tried everything. Only when I told the Lord he can have everything and asked him to give me Grace to obey him was the Spirit given to overcome this addiction. The Lord gave me a fire in my heart to hate the sin I was in and will never go back as I do not wish to grieve the Holy Spirit. Look up the ministry by Michael Chriswell relentless heart. @@sarahbell4344 Hey Sarah, thanks for the response :) though im not talking about sin, im talking about a promise/covenant. I don't think smoking a cigarette is any more sinful than drinking a coffee with a sugar in it. However the church i went to convinced me that I had to stop smoking to be saved... I now realise thats not true and regret having said that prayer because i enjoy smoking the same as others might enjoy a cup of coffee and I don't think either have to do with salvation. I am however concerned with the implications of saying the word "covenant" in a prayer, how foolish is it to use such words etc? P.s Derek Prince is great, have read a couple of his books and listened to many youtube vids. He says specifically that "compulsive smoking is usually demonic" not that smoking in and of itself is demonic.

I was CONVICTED of all these things and could no longer enjoy them. Smoking tobacco was fine however, no convicting from the Holy Spirit... it was only when i went to find a church to baptised me that the elders and minister guilt tripped me about the smoking and refused to baptised me until I quit... so I only quit because i thought I HAD to to be a Christian. I really enjoy smoking and miss it but i havent had a single cigarette in over 5 weeks... but my question isn't about cigarettes its about saying the word "covenent" in a prayer... Why would she say @ 42:41 that you take us on a journey were we remain hopeless? I don't want to remain hopeless in the Lord!! I want the Fire of the Lord to overcome hopelessness. I want the Fire of the Lord and confidence in him to spread his passion. What she said binds people in Yokes. Pastor Conlon was very good, I didn't like the Prayer at the end!! We shouldn't have to ask the Lord 25 times a day for help. He knows what is needed. If you need to ask 25 times ,you need to get in the Word of God more and know it is already Finished he already did it for us. Take command over your issues and make them Bow to the Name of Jesus Christ. Every tongue will confess every Knee shall Bow to the Name of our Great savior Jesus Christ !!

I have one correction on this message. Jesus says when addressing his apostles, that if any man seeks to be the greatest in the kingdom of Yah, he must be as John. For there is no greater man than John. To be come the least makes us the greatest. See the messiah example. He didn't come as an angel he didn't come as the king of glory on high he came as a man. The Lord could have took any form.

Hey bro there is no rapture...I asked the Lord if it were true many years ago and He gave me understanding.
Read the word ...all I see is this the wicked and the ungodly are removed from the earth.
Read the parable of the tares and the wheat who gets removed first?
The Lord's prayer what does Jesus ask?
That the father would not take us out of the world but keep us from the evil one.
In the book of Revelation it says that Satan will make war against the saints and overcome them.
Which saints is he talking about?
If we are raptured?
Gotta go deeper...why were all the saints of all time being sawed in two boiled in oil etc.
And then somehow we are all spared of this suffering?
The word says that we are to count it all joy when we share in Christs suffering.

How I wish there was a pastor like Pastor Conlon or his predecessor Pastor Wilkerson near me. A while back I viewed or listened online to all the churches sermons within 3 towns around me and found nothing but church lite. When I finally found ONE church with a pastor with a powerful and uncompromising message locally I went to that church only to find out that the pastor had quit and his previous weeks sermon that I had just listened to the day prior on their website was his last. Their youth pastor tried his best to fill in but he was very inexperienced. I'm not looking for a rock/rap concert or prosperity gospel I want TRUTH!
If God waited for a snail to enter Noah's ark rest be assured God will wait you at the end of the finished line, Trust and be confident in the deep roots of Gods word and through the storm and strong winds.

I'm curious what are some people's opinions on a new Christian (myself) who foolishly prayed a prayer i'd read online about quitting smoking that ended with...
"I covenant in the Name of (Jesus) and before these witnesses [get two witnesses to your prayer] that I will never purchase tobacco or smoke again, or profane Your holy temple, or blaspheme the Name of the Most High. Amen."
Well i was only quitting smoking - not because i wanted to - but because the church i went to said that i could only be saved and baptised if i quit smoking. Anyway I feel like I quit smoking under duress and really regret having said that prayer. If i end up smoking again what might be the Biblical implications of that?

Ask the HOLY Spirit of the Lord to help you quit don't go to men for advice seek the Lord your God in all things! I smoked weed for almost 10 years and tried everything. Only when I told the Lord he can have everything and asked him to give me Grace to obey him was the Spirit given to overcome this addiction. The Lord gave me a fire in my heart to hate the sin I was in and will never go back as I do not wish to grieve the Holy Spirit. Look up the ministry by Michael Chriswell relentless heart. HOPE this helps may the Lord bless you!

I don't think smoking a cigarette is any more sinful than drinking a coffee with a sugar in it. However the church i went to convinced me that I had to stop smoking to be saved... I now realise thats not true and regret having said that prayer because i enjoy smoking the same as others might enjoy a cup of coffee and I don't think either have to do with salvation.
I am however concerned with the implications of saying the word "covenant" in a prayer, how foolish is it to use such words etc?
P.s Derek Prince is great, have read a couple of his books and listened to many youtube vids. He says specifically that "compulsive smoking is usually demonic" not that smoking in and of itself is demonic.
@@whiteninja3966 Thanks for the input. When the Holy Spirit came and convicted me of my sin i was willing and able to quit drinking, quit fornication, quit smoking weed... I was CONVICTED of all these things and could no longer enjoy them. Smoking tobacco was fine however, no convicting from the Holy Spirit... it was only when i went to find a church to baptised me that the elders and minister guilt tripped me about the smoking and refused to baptised me until I quit... so I only quit because i thought I HAD to to be a Christian.
I really enjoy smoking and miss it but i havent had a single cigarette in over 5 weeks... but my question isn't about cigarettes its about saying the word "covenent" in a prayer...
