720 supers cant be inputed while you're in a neutral position, you have to input it during another move by whiffing (missing) a move like a medium punch or by spinning your joystick right before you land and pressing the button as soon as you touch the ground Also normal full circle grabs can be imputed easier by buffering them like the super or by pressing the button while pointing the joystick up (eg: forward, down, back and then up and punch at the same time)

You boys may now be aware but in the final version of SF2 you can put in a button combo to pick the "Old" version of a character. They lose their Super Meter but get higher overall damage.
There was also street fighter 2 the movie the game, which was like an fmv game with some matches were you play as a robot you can give different characters moves
also, wanted to share some extra insight of things you talked about 1. Akuma is banned in tournament play, not just for air fireballs (even though those are incredibly powerful and invalidate half the cast. Normal fireballs already hurt Cammy, Fei Long, and the grapplers enough, but air fireballs completely invalidate what little counterplay they have against them) or for the character select code to do this (which is also true, tournaments have a time limit after all), but also for the fact that his damage output is crazy, and his teleport allows him to escape the corner incredibly well, making him also one of the best rushdown characters and one of the best zoners in the game, even if his normals are mostly just slightly improved copies of Ryu/Ken's normals. Akuma in later games is often balanced by being a glass cannon with a high execution, but since he was a boss character they just didnt care to balance him lol. 2. the naming of Balrog, Vega and M. Bison does make sense. They wanted to avoid the lawsuit, and Vega sounded like a more spanish name to the localizers iirc. 3. Rainbow Edition has been directly stated by James Goddard (he did Design Support) to be the inspiration for them to make Super Turbo to compete with the wacky version. It did stuff like make air-ok special moves, and gave Chun-Li a fireball, which Super Turbo also did later (but in a slightly more balanced way lol). Also, the mechanic where you press Start to swap to another character mid match is probably the first use of a "tag system" in fighting games, popularized by series Marvel vs Capcom. 4. Theory Fighter (great channel btw) made a video about how the 512 rule works for SF2. It's actually a pretty neat mechanic. SF2 has a lot of randomness, in stuff like damage, whether or not certain combos are possible, etc. It can be frustrating but i think it has a little charm to it. Would love to see more content like this for other fighting games!
