- St Johnstone were put to the sword by Steven Gerrard's Rangers after conceding four goals in the second half. Substitute Jermain Defoe netted twice in the space of ten minutes, though the third came with controversy, as an effort from the Saints was ruled to not have crossed the line.

Not a bad scoreline considering how bad we were during the first half, big improvement so far this season.
BIG JOCK KNEW HE KNEW SWEEP SWEEP we were dire that first half mate have to admit it, defending was sloppy, passes were sloppy, the whole 45 minutes was just sloppy, 2nd half was more like Rangers playing, sometimes you have to admit when you don’t play well.
