thanks for all your information , I am in the process of buying a metal detector and I made up my mind THX to your video's when I see how you use your machine in one of your video's it looked like a roadworkers tool full of mud if it can withstand your beating and your weather it must be EXCELENT again thanks and I just subscribed so keep the video's streaming
If your metal detecting forays are of the more 'robust' dimensions, those that are ultimately a test of excellent durability, as well as very good performance, combined with great waterpfoofing, and your ears are better atune to a 'sparker': Simplex all day long. Otherwise the 540 Vanquish may be peferable for the respective price inc: headphones, plus, being a Minelab, it will have those 'flutey' tones that your hearing may enjoy.
Absolutely. As you know Tim, there is no perfect detector. Only one that is best for the individual using it. And it can be that a certain detector is perfect for one type of land or area, or find type, whereas another might be awful. Gold machines work very differently to general machines, and some brands excel on beach where other manufactures struggle.
Me too but it's raining and I'm not that hardcore, riding a motorcycle all year round is bad enough, heard people bash the pulsedive but I love it I have the Garrett carrot and don't see a whole lot of differences in performance. That Said I'm happy with them although I'm used to the AT Pro and am very proficient with it,simplex is going to take some time. I'm still not sure what FW will work best for me.
@@thestatpow5 places i went didn't have anything interesting in it, so far some iron, aluminium cans an rubbish like that, but i only went out couple of times
If you are going to be hunting salt water beaches in the damp sand, I would choose the Vanquish due to the multi-frequencies. For most other things I would choose the Simplex.
Tough decision. I love getting the Minelab name and reputation, but... and I know this shouldn't really matter... yet it does to me, I can't get past the red plastic and decidedly 1990's design look of the Vanquish line. The Simplex has many features I would love to have, yet it lacks the multi-frequency IQ. Still pondering... lol.
Thanks for the great video. I'm definitely considering a Simplex 😃

The Simplex needs learning... and so it does... but, that is part of the FUN!! 😁😁
Love my vanquish 440 turn on and go 😀 but also fancy a simplex or a Quest
