I imagined sitting there with you,tasting every bite.Miami has done you proud.The rich cultural history and deliciousness of Versailles( Ropa Vieja, Cuban sandwiches, Roast garlic chicken also delish) ,the crazy amount of amazing dishes you tried at Joe's Stone Crab and the cheese fritters at the market! Wow! Gianni Versace was murdered at his front gate after his regular daily walk to get newspapers.He spent a lot of time there.I knew the family sold it but did not know it is now a gorgeous restaraunt and hotel.Its a HUGE home.Very sad,though! I am a Cali girl but if I was to live in FL it would only be in Miami, as it is so diverse culturally.
Really enjoyed the time in Miami and probably ate way too much... But grateful to get to try the different dishes... Yeah, I was not planning on going to the Versace mansion, but I did meet one of the attending nurses during that incident by chance in Orlando... Definitely had to pay a visit and it was quite a spectacular mansion.

It was very good.It was called "The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story" on FX channel starring Darren Kriss as the killer in (he won an Emmy for it).Don't know if u can see it anywhere right now.It was produced as a drama based on the true story.Since u went to the mansion, it might be of interest.
I literally dream of Miami food! I grew up there but live in NC now; Versailles & Joes are 2 of my favorites. The Miami scene is so vibrant and culturally diverse- although I love NC for its climate, friendly people, and fresh, clean air, it’s a bit bland compared to the rich complexity of MIA. Enjoy your visit!

Oh, if you get a chance to visit, the lur tapas place was probably the best meal I've had... Mainly because it was a total surprise and it was amazingly good... I would go back there for sure

Tim, whenever you see Stone Crab Claws at a good price load up on them. They're one of the most expensive crab you get. They're only allowed to take one crab claw off of each crab because they're a depleted species. They take the big claw & the crab grows the claw back. You're so fortunate to be able to make your channel & travel the way you do. If I were young again, I'd be doing this in a quick minute. I've always wanted to travel & eat before TH-cam was ever thought of but I've never had the opportunities all of you have had to do so now a days. Different generation & such. You go for the big one's Tim lol.

It's an experience and experiences can never be too much. Once my husband and I ordered 6 dishes at a seafood restaurant overlooking the Watergate hotel. The experience was amazing. Good stories to tell too. Thanks Tim for ordering just enough for us to experience it. 😁

The time out market is definitely worth going to, I think I had my best meal at lur ... I think that was probably the best cheesecake and best dessert I've ever had

Stone crab is without question my favorite shellfish, and trust me, I like my seafood. If I lived in FL, I could give up meat forever! Nice video! Safe travels to you.
@@TimLeeLetsGo When I was a young boy I grew up in Florida. When the stone crab season came around, we always caught our own with crab pots. Talk about some epic feasts. Even back then in the restaurants, they weren't that expensive, but everything has changed. I'm not sure if it's because demand is outpacing supply, or just profit. It seemed like back then, we always were able to catch as many as we wanted, even harvesting one claw.
You did great. I have been dining at Joe's in SOBE for 18 years and I have only ordered Stone Crabs. I have never had anything esle on the menu. I typically have mutiple orders of the LARGE and take home an order. That mustard is the best and you cannot get it anywhere else. For me it is the PRECIOUS! Thanks for Sharing!
Oh Tim this is wonderful!!! You are living your best life, and you really are a man after my own heart! When I'm traveling and on foot, I always like to have a drink with every meal or snack! Tim: you really pigged out! The oxtail at Versailles is to die for! Joe's Stone Crab is very pricey & I thought the lobster Reuben at $35 was overpriced! The Time Out Markets are in several cities & offer some interesting comfort food! Miami & surroundings certainly are a foodie paradise! Tim, you must have taken to your hotel quite a few doggie-bags, enjoy!
Oh Lawrence, my flight was the next day, and I had a bit of fun explaining to TSA about all the food... I think the food Hall was the place where I had the best meal ... lur, the Spanish tapas place was absolutely amazing

Oh yeah, I sometimes run into an occasional roast that's a little bit too lean or a little bit too dry... Not really a big fan of that... I generally things are pretty good 🙂

I just moved back home, to South Florida, after 14 years away and thanks for doing the leg work. 🤗👍. If you get the chance, Dixie Crossroads Broiled Rock shrimp is Amazing. Titusville FL. The Cuban National dish is the "stringy" meat, Ropa Vieja. The Basque cheesecake is stunning, can't wait to go!!

Oh those stone claws at Joe's!!! I loved sitting there and having stone claws and crisp white wine.....then in my short time I had to find a Cubano sandwich.....so a bar in Little Havana was the ticket. I did not know of Versailles - it will be on the list when I return as well as that Marketplace - OH MY!!!!

But more importantly @TimLee you go out of your way to be kind enough to people to make them smile. That to me is one of my 4 rules for the ultimate happiness in life. Kindness, love, food and laughter. You may not remember but I told you a few months ago that I had been diagnosed aged 42 as Terminally ill. I received news last week that the hospital has VERY likely (99% sure) misdiagnosed me. They are awaiting my lawsuit and do you know. Although I have 7 UK pence in the bank. That's funny I live in the Arizona and we have a place called Joe's Crab Shack and they are wonderful. My daughter loves the shrimp and crab but I love the lobster it's Delicious.
Hello again old son. Now I wish I had a plate of that stone crab right now. I like it; I want some. Tim, if I had the choice between a Sirloin Steak; or any steak and sea food; my pick will always be the sea food. I am a Sea Food Man. I SEE FOOD and I want to eat it. You chaps are very lucky having restaurants that are reasonably priced compared to Melbourne Australia. My wife and I went to dinner at Lobster restaurant well known in one of our sea side suburbs; the cost for both of us (just for the Lobster) was $210.00 and that was for half a lobster each. Drinks and entree`s plus desert took the bill to in excess of $360.00. Thank heavens tipping is not compulsory here. Tell me; at Buffets in the States and Canada, is tipping compulsory. When were in the States; I visited my nephew and his wife in Santa Cruz. We had lunch on one of the piers. The end result was that we were told we had to pay a tip to our waitress; and suggested 30%. The Bloody tip cost me more than the lunch. No joking. I am Fair Dinkum mate. Tipping has hairs on it.
Myrtle beach South Carolina has like a hundred seafood buffets. Average price $39.99 since we get all our own food we just leave a few dollars for tip. Same with Las Vegas, The Palms has all you can eat lobster $49.99 There are seafood buffets all over the United States, many are very reasonable and under $50 we always leave just a few dollars for tip. Sometimes $10 or $15, sometimes less.
Do they still have stone crabs on the menu during the off season? As far as I know, stone crab season is between Oct and May. Stone crabs is my favorite seafood. I wished I could have tagged along. Haha. BTW, your videos are getting better and better. I am now a fan.

@@TimLeeLetsGo I was GOING TO SAY SOMETHING YESTERDAY BUT CHOSE TO KEEP QUIET. I WENT BECUSE OF mark Wiens. I sat across from a Cuban family who had not been there in a while. They were sad for me. The dad said the food had gone downhill and his wife agrees. They said that some of the food they ordered, Cubans would be embarrassed to serve in their homes.

Tim: you really pigged out! The oxtail at Versailles is to die for! Joe's Stone Crab is very pricey & I thought the lobster Reuben at $35 was overpriced! The Time Out Markets are in several cities & offer some interesting comfort food! Miami & surroundings certainly are a foodie paradise! Tim, you must have taken to your hotel quite a few doggie-bags, enjoy!
Oh Lawrence, my flight was the next day, and I had a bit of fun explaining to TSA about all the food... I think the food Hall was the place where I had the best meal ... lur, the Spanish tapas place was absolutely amazing

I just moved back home, to South Florida, after 14 years away and thanks for doing the leg work. 🤗👍. If you get the chance, Dixie Crossroads Broiled Rock shrimp is Amazing. Titusville FL. The Cuban National dish is the "stringy" meat, Ropa Vieja. The Basque cheesecake is stunning, can't wait to go!!

Oh those stone claws at Joe's!!! I loved sitting there and having stone claws and crisp white wine.....then in my short time I had to find a Cubano sandwich.....so a bar in Little Havana was the ticket. I did not know of Versailles - it will be on the list when I return as well as that Marketplace - OH MY!!!!

You may not remember but I told you a few months ago that I had been diagnosed aged 42 as Terminally ill. I received news last week that the hospital has VERY likely (99% sure) misdiagnosed me. They are awaiting my lawsuit and do you know. Although I have 7 UK pence in the bank. I have no plans whatsoever to sue. I'm just happy to forgive and be alive. Your videos have been a God Send Tim.

That's funny I live in the Arizona and we have a place called Joe's Crab Shack and they are wonderful. My daughter loves the shrimp and crab but I love the lobster it's Delicious.

Hello again old son. Now I wish I had a plate of that stone crab right now. I like it; I want some. Tim, if I had the choice between a Sirloin Steak; or any steak and sea food; my pick will always be the sea food. I am a Sea Food Man. I SEE FOOD and I want to eat it. You chaps are very lucky having restaurants that are reasonably priced compared to Melbourne Australia. My wife and I went to dinner at Lobster restaurant well known in one of our sea side suburbs; the cost for both of us (just for the Lobster) was $210.00 and that was for half a lobster each. Drinks and entree`s plus desert took the bill to in excess of $360.00. Thank heavens tipping is not compulsory here. Tell me; at Buffets in the States and Canada, is tipping compulsory. When were in the States; I visited my nephew and his wife in Santa Cruz. We had lunch on one of the piers. The end result was that we were told we had to pay a tip to our waitress; and suggested 30%. The Bloody tip cost me more than the lunch. No joking. I am Fair Dinkum mate. Tipping has hairs on it.
Myrtle beach South Carolina has like a hundred seafood buffets. Average price $39.99 since we get all our own food we just leave a few dollars for tip. Same with Las Vegas, The Palms has all you can eat lobster $49.99 There are seafood buffets all over the United States, many are very reasonable and under $50 we always leave just a few dollars for tip. Sometimes $10 or $15, sometimes less.
I buy 4oz lobster tails at the food store. They are $7 dollars.
Use to get all you can eat Alaskan snow crab legs for $19.99 but now pay around $49.99
Do they still have stone crabs on the menu during the off season? As far as I know, stone crab season is between Oct and May. Stone crabs is my favorite seafood. I wished I could have tagged along. Haha.

@@TimLeeLetsGo I was GOING TO SAY SOMETHING YESTERDAY BUT CHOSE TO KEEP QUIET. I WENT BECUSE OF mark Wiens. I sat across from a Cuban family who had not been there in a while. They were sad for me. The dad said the food had gone downhill and his wife agrees. They said that some of the food they ordered, Cubans would be embarrassed to serve in their homes.
