Can't wait for the Amtrak Crescent video! I took it last year from Atlanta to NY.

Definitely one of the more eclectic hotels I've seen in quite some time. That view & fridge is priceless though. It's got the Bourbon Street charm. The New Orleans eccentricities. I'm sure a younger couple would enjoy this hotel room. I've found those mini shower doors a bit interesting. Based on the video, I guess you didn't have any issues with water spilling on the floor.
Glad Hyatt kept some of the New Orleans charm in the property, even if some of the interiors did look a tad bit dated.

Yes definitely New Orleans Charm. We were just happy to not pay $500 a night anywhere in New Orleans that weekend and get Hyatt points as well

So $220.00 was a great deal ! That popped up on the Hyatt Apps ? Was that because yay had a credit card with Hyatt that gave you special deals or just the Apps you had ?

Good question. We do have a Hyatt Credit Card and status with them but the deal just popped up for a single day without anything to do with our status. The system increase or decrease the prices daily based on supply and demand. So our advice is, check the rates daily (don’t give up). In our case the hotel room was $550/night but one morning we noticed it at $160. We paused to discuss about it and it moved up to $220. At $160, it would have been the perfect steal in that neighborhood.
