Love larkspur and bachelor buttons any flower that I can get in blue. Your garden beds are going to be gorgeous. Filled with beautiful colorful flowers, can’t wait to see it.
I planted larkspur and bachelor button seeds in early December in zone 7b, Md/DC area. Last December I direct planted larkspur and also did some using the winter sowing method. There wasn't much difference so this year am just direct seeding. First time with bachelor buttons. I like your different color mix. Will look gorgeous.Your rannuculus look great.
I was so disappointed with my bachelors buttons not self seeding. I was sure they would because they grew so beautifully in spring time. They do get rather bushy and large. I was surprised. You might be too haha. I’m in north Texas and it’s nice to find similar gardeners!! 😊 I’m new to your channel but I really need guidance in planting poppy flowers. I just haven’t had good luck. Same with carnations.
Hi there and welcome! I don’t grow poppies anymore because they don’t last very long as a cut flower … in the past I have direct seeded them in the fall for spring blooms but you can also start them right now inside.
I planted bachelors buttons last year too and I also didn’t love them, the foliage ended up all dried and tangled and while I loved the flowers there weren’t enough at the same time to really do anything with them so I don’t think I’ll grow them again. 😊
Anything that drops its own seed should work as a winter sow. I'll bet your Bupluerum turns out fine! I love your experimenting mindset.
Ooo, I hope it turns out too!

I’m really hoping that there might be some true blue in this mix!
Love that you are still making gardening videos this time of the year not many gardening channels are. My sweet peas do great direct sowing.
Good to know about your sweet peas … I hope mine turn out too!
I winter sowed bupleurum and had great success with it last year! Good luck!
Good to know!!! I hope mine works out as well!
I grew the blue larkspur for the first time and oh my goodness! Love it. It dried beautiful and held its color. It's on my dried Christmas tree now.
Oh yay!!! I can’t wait to see mine!

Ranunculus my best flower ... thanks for video #India
My pleasure 😊
Yes this last cold blast did damage in my garden
Yeah, I definitely have damage as well.

The same thing happened to me. I don’t plan on growing bachelor buttons again.
@@laurac4572 shame isn’t it as the flowers are pretty if there was enough of them.
Yeah I wasn’t thrilled with mine either last year but I’m going to give it another try … if I’m up happy again, I won’t replant.
Yep if I don’t like mine again, I won’t replant.
Hi 👋
Hi Michelle!
Many plants cannot survive the summer heat of Texas. Hard on people too.
Agreed
