In the beginning I think they really had a thing together. Later, after his 2nd marriage, he was very happy and then their acting skills kicked in. There was a difference. But in the beginning, it was hot!!
MATT was a protector of MISS KITTY. And DOC to when someone even look at MISS KITTY or DOC. Boy when someone even look at MISS KITTY the wrong way that just makes MATT Blood rise.
After kitty left the series, Matt was always traveling looking for inmates. That changed the whole story. He was not happy any longer without kitty waiting for him. But he went on,he really missed his kitty..he become older and angrier. Just it was not the same anymore
Kitty leaving did change the show. Episodes harder to watch. Matt was sitting alone at the Long Branch. Let me know if anything from season 20 is worth watching.
I truly love the interaction between the cast. The protective way Matt and Kitty is wonderful. A great clean show . watched all my life. I wouldn't take anything for that time. They were ment to be in Gunsmoke.
@@kathyhelms416 i found one called hostage from 1965. It's the one where Matt gets kidnapped by the guy with the froggy throat. I didn't see a part in this one where she got beat up. But you are right one where she got shot wasn't that one the video I was thinking about with the song.

I think the first scene in the video was were she was hit by a stray bullit in the Long Branch.
It is from the “Hostage” episode she is shot on the steps of the Long Branch after being brutalized by a man avenging his brother.
