If you have "mandatory" meetings at work but those meetings are mostly brainstorming sessions and really don't affect actual long term projects successes, is it ok to skip them because they aren't that important?
This is about tone setting from day one. This is about Aaron Rodgers saying to every person in the building that no matter how big or small it may be, we are going to work and be accountable.
That's the issue. Mandatory means mandatory... It's not "mandatory unless you feel it's not important mini-camp" it's just mandatory.
