I have reviewed over 20 e bikes. The Grolar E Bike by Birch made heartbreak hill at 16 miles an hour. That's 10 miles an hour faster than any other E Bike I've reviewed. bit.ly/kenskarpentry $200 Discount code: Ken
Ken - make a pop up sleeper camper for this bike! they sell small alumimum frames with shocks so you could make a 1 person little camper sleeper kitchen etc.
WOW, that bke puts mine (the one I used to have) to shame! What an awesome e-bike. I thought mine was rugged and high-end., This one is a beauty. I rode mine mostly around downtown Memphis to work, flight school, and shopping. These bikes make you feel young again LOL Great video.
I can tell by your reaction that this is the bike to have for off - road action. The heart-break hill test tells the story. Looks well built and rugged.
Birch eBike! Hunting Grolar with two motors! It'll be quiet so you can sneak up on your prey. You could drag a stag with it? Wow. 9 speed. So 25 Amp Hours in the battery. Nice. shock absorber seat. It's nice to have the cover over the controls. I'm glad it comes with a booklet that shows you how to work it. I like the horn. It seems easy to work. It's great that you're testing it on heartbreak hill. Wow, 10 miles per hour faster than any other eBike you've tried! That is impressive! I'm glad you got to try it! You could try it on one wheel drive, front or back? I wonder how close it would get going up that hill? It's got to be bumpy in the woods. Those were nice shots of you going through the woods. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much! I'm so glad you did another eBike review! Thanks for this video Ken!
This twin power of both wheels are making the difference on the hill. The others were more of a city bike. 🚴 your getting a workout on it as well and having a great day.
Good morning now biking that's fantastic retired people should lol, looks like a great bike budy that's a keeper, So I just learned something from your channel my friend ,your 6 years older than me ,so off too work I go.. too help pay your social security, and pay into mine.. now I need too work 6 more years darn you had me convinced to retire lol lol great day Ken 🌴🐊😎
Overall, this thing seems built like a tank and probably rides like a Cadillac on the road. I can only imagine there's some weight penalty to go with that when it's time to get it in the back of your truck for the trip home. BTW, that top speed is pretty brisk for us old guys!
Ken I enjoy the content that you load up on the Internet? This bike looks like a great model for going out hunting and exploring. I work as a goldsmith and I noticed that your wedding band is growing into your finger. If you are having a hard time getting it on and off I would be happy to help you out and size up your ring for you before it will no longer slide off your finger.
Wow! If you paired that with a capable bike trailer and could wire another battery in parallel to maintain range, there's some impressive cargo potential there!!
We are going hunting east of Calgary in November. A rancher gives us permission to hunt on his land. The eBike might come in handy to have. By the way, do they sell the eBike in Canada?
@@kenskarpentry I would imagine that 85 is like the EPA highway MPG rating for a car. Yeah, it's possible but on a test track with a professional driver. OTOH, if reality is half that, it's pretty good. I would also guess that off-road is likely half that again. (20 mile range?) Still pretty good. Not sure how my body would hold up on 20 miles through the woods!
Good morning KEN ❤❤❤. Can you order a gel seat ??? Hows your knees, after riding? Looks like a great bike❤. Love Harleys. Thats my favorite ride. This would be a great bike too. Thank you Ken. 🎉🎉🎉 SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🙏🇮🇱🙏🙏😎🙏✨️👍 I checked the site out. I couldn't get a price or find out about a gel seat. Sounds fantastic Ken GOD BLESS YOU ❤❤❤ Where does your 🐶 ride? L.O.L. thank you. I think I could drive in the snow with rhis one.?
nice got the important part - in the woods ez trails. a steep grade of 8% to 33% at a nice slow pace would be something to see if it can do that? [ should be easy for the grolar. ] it would be a nice thing to see that my 750 watt ebikes are rear hub and goes thru ez wood trails [after i set my PAS level down] on throttle they do fine too [better control] need a torque sensor (?) I like this ones Not a top high speed ebike. [my preference] on trails n mtn roads 20 mph is fast enough the county roads here are limted to 15 to 25mph [it varies] in our town its 25 [I live far from there] and nice how you showed the settings, the specs too. :) even the control as you ride the gravel county road. :) not all ebikes can do that [2 of mine do, but not as slow as Id like]
I'm 70 and would not let that deter me. When I bought my ebike, I was having difficulty with riding my regular Schwinn bike, but with the motor on ebike, that is no longer a problem. I have an Aventon Aventure 2 ebike, not really an off-road bike but that wouldn't stop me; it has suspension to handle occasional off-road use.

Ken, this one would be a good one to design and build a camper for it.
Good vid
That look like a good bike
It sure does
Ken, you're not only an amazing craftsman but you've unlocked your inner Evel Knievel now as well!
Hahahaha yes!
This twin power of both wheels are making the difference on the hill. The others were more of a city bike. 🚴 your getting a workout on it as well and having a great day.
Yes it definitely has a lot of power

Thanks they actually cut it off once and I never got it repaired
Hahaha 😂 if it works it ain’t broke
Ken,it’s a shame that Kaiya can’t go for a ride with you 😮😊❤
Puckipuppy etrike solves this problem.
Wow! If you paired that with a capable bike trailer and could wire another battery in parallel to maintain range, there's some impressive cargo potential there!!
Wow
That’s a good looking bike and should do well on flatter areas. Snow or moderate hills. But for a hunting bike you need a mid drive
Take care Ken we need your videos so interesting
Wish I could afford it. It would be fun.
Bummer
Ken if you know the hight above sea level the the distance between high and low would give the graeding
Oh. Interesting
Very nice bike. I’m just wondering how u can haul ur large kill back. The rack on the back I don’t think will cutt it. lol
It will maybe take a quarter
@@kenskarpentry Agree
Nice! Very cool! That bike looks like it's a BEAST! Ken, why not be like Oprah and say, "You get a bike, and you get a bike, and you get a bike!" 🤣🤣
Boy, did you have some fun! LMAO The only question is whether it ca tow the Vardo.
Haha true
Nice looking Bike Ken.
Thanks 👍
Good morning!

Nice. I don’t know but it seems like they would
I really like this bike Ken. It just out my price range
Thanks
U looked like u r having fun. 👍🏽
For sure
That look good
Curious to know with the two motors in use on rough terrain how long a full charge lasts?
They say up tot 85 miles on a charge depending on how much peddling you do

I would like to see it pull some weight in a low gear! Thanks Ken
Oh like a trailer?
Maybe,,, will it pull a buck out of the bush?
Good morning

Hahahaha thanks Evalina
Looks like a great machine.
However like a lot of new tech stuff is too much info. Let's just ride.
I'm just an old guy so low-tech is for me.
I guess you know by now that you went up Heartbreak Hill in record speed but only in assist level 4. I wonder what it can do in level 5😊
Wow. The road was so bumpy I had to let up a little
Wow that is quite the E Bike. They have made so many improvements on them since they were introduced. Great review. Thanks Ken!
Thanks for watching!
That is a very nice bike, you might want to keep it, early Christmas present to yourself! Does Sandy know you are out there trying to break your neck?
Haha…actually I may have taken a tumble…maybe a little road rash! I wish the camera was on at that point
I Love it

Dont charge that lithium battery in the house or garage. Leave it outside away from combustibles . Just sayin.
Nice bike. Wish I was "young" enough to ride one. :>(

What is Dan doing for a living now?
He’s doing construction on his own
🚴
