Call of the East - A Road Show (Episode 1)

This film revolves around a resident of Manipur who took his friends from outside the state to the various parts of Manipur. Together, they explore the diverse cultural and natural beauties of Manipur.
Manipur is high on green and is beautifully surrounded by seven hills. We held in the North-East corner of India, just at the edge, sharing border with Myanmar. We pride ourselves in being named "The Jewel of India". And indeed, we are a jewel with only a size of New Jersey of the US and population that of Nevada. We speak 29 different dialects and follow several faiths and religions. If India is a country of diverse citizens, Manipur is again a diverse state of many cultures. With each ethinc group having its own beautifull customs that identifies them. Also meaning there are many unique dances with colorfull attires in all sorts of festivals doing the rounds all year along.
This episode features the following attractions of Manipur:
1. Ema Market: It is the only female only vendors in the country. And this long running bazar feautures fresh flowers, vegetables, handicrafts and handlooms.
2. Meitei Cheiraoba:Sajibu nongma panba/Sajibu cheiraoba is the lunar new year festivals of Manipur.
3. Thabal Chongba: Thabal chongba or dancing by moonlight where young girls and boys dance hands in hands in a circle which is usuallly a Manipuri folk dance associated with the festival of Yaoshang (Holi) and Cheiraoba.
