Way through Hessisch Oldendorf 2019 (30 years after HOG tour 1989)

Inspired by a video from a trip through Hessisch Oldendorf, this video was created 30 years later. Amazing what has changed: traffic circles, more supermarkets and a pedestrian zone became part of the little town. The base of US Air Force has been completely replaced by a residential area. But apparently so much hasn't changed, has it?

In Hessisch Oldendorf habe ich 1995 in der Stuhlfabrik die geilste Übung ever gehabt über das THW und 1997 über das DRK in der ehemaligen Airbase im Rahmen der Katastrophenschutz Übung GREVAK. Ja das waren echt klasse Zeiten

WOW, I was there 81-85 and worked vehicle maintenance. Drove shopping tours and sports teams around in the buses, quite the memories and hope to return this coming spring. Seeing the hill from Hess up to the base reminds me of when Dreddy Walker was bringing a forklift down the hill and his brakes failed. The town is hardly recognizable!
