Thanks Mam. I found your channel, I lived here in your beautiful country for 5years. But my mandarin is still low. I want to lear more about mandarin. Your channel is really big help for me. I love Taiwan🇹🇼 my second home after my beloved 🇵🇭
I only lived there for two years but worked 8 months in Taiwanese Mandarin speaking environment..as a result I could understand and speak the language better than when I just lived with international students only.. my advice is just go out and make friends with Taiwanese people, you surely can speak if you listen to them every day
If you make Taiwanese friends you can learn much more quickly. However, I know you aren't allowed to speak or even read Chinese when working at most cram schools. My learning really slowed down while working in such environments!! I'm glad to be a private tutor, now. I can finally get back to improving more steadily^^
You have to take it easy. I find impossible that you can't find a single opportunity to practice or use what you learned. There are just so many ways to do. I mean, I am a beginner and I already have a Taiwanese friend to practice with. The same with English. You just have to try harder and enjoy the journey; try harder because you like it and it matters to you, not because other shallow reasons
I think mainlanders understand Taiwanese Mandarin. I also find that many people (mostly those) from southern provinces talk like Taiwanese people. To be fair, there no one specific accent that fits Taiwanese or mainland mandarin. It varies way too much. That's one of the hardest things about mandarin is the number of different accents and I'm not even talking about the local mandarin dialects like Beijingese or Chongqingese. I would imagine besides politics China and Taiwan are probably pretty close especially the youth.
@@jahnlp9824 I have both Mainland Chinese and Taiwanese friends, it's the SAME language with REALLY some slight differences to it (obviously assuming they're not talking in 闽南话, same dialect as spoken in 福建省。) I remember one time when buying beer, my friend from Taiwan said let's buy 一手(sou)啤酒 (pack with 6 bottles of beer), and my mainland friend was like ??? aa you mean 一打啤酒。 It's all in good fun! :D
Hey, I really like your videos :) I am half Taiwanese and I can speak Chinese fluently (sry, my English is very bad, I live in Germany) and now I just try to learn Chinese writing and reading c:
Learn Taiwanese (Mandarin Chinese) is very hard, because that language is part of Sino-Tibetan language. While there's Formosa languages which is maybe easier to be learnt for me (Austronesian languages). So, don't forget to type in Google: "Sino-Tibetan languages", "Austronesian languages" and "Mongoloid map".

I'm learning English and Chinese but it saddens me when I've noticed that I don't have an opportunity to use them despite learning so hard.

Very much love this video! Thank you!
She studied 100% Taiwainese Mandarin, 0% Mainland haha I love to see the love between Taiwan and China.

Miss Lin, do you speak any Tâi-gí?
Very useful videos about daily conversation with subtitles :)

Driving to work, I try to use the time to hear a CD with spoken Chinese.

laoshi, this skritter app is a taiwanese meaning words or mixed with chinese meaning
It’s Chinese mandarin language only, but it provides zhuyin (phonetic system in Taiwan) 😉
ting ne dao, zhongwen getting into my brain slowly, xiexie ni
"Hellota*k" in the subtitles,
