The Ronin S had an accessory called the "command unit" which gives you all the features that the display on the RS2 provides. I have it on my rig. It's awesome.
Thanks for this insight. It really helped me on deciding which one to get Ronin S or the RS2, Im so torn between these two. Now I watched your video it helped somehow. Thanks again! Peaceout!
Man thanks! I was just about to sell my Ronin S and buy the 2 but after watching this video I’m just going to keep my Ronin S. And I subscribed. Thank you again.
Incase I left out some key features please note them down for other filmmakers :) . I always miss out on things 🤦♂️ anyways hope this can answer some questions for those of you looking to make the jump or looking for any of these two gimbals :)
i got the rsc2 with my sigma 18-35 on the sonya7iii and it's very jerky, it jitters a lot, i think it has a very hard time handling the weight of the lense. do you think i should try the rs2?
I was getting the same problem with that gimbal..I own both..for sure I dont get any jitters with the rs2..motors are stronger 👍 but I think I was getting jitters because I had a zoom lens and kept zooming in and out and I balanced it in the middle so I know thT could of caused it...the rs2 I only used it with primes
@@MarioVisions I need a good travel gimbal for my gh5 and possibly heavier cameras down the road. Should I get the weebil s or the rsc2/rs2 do you think? I currently have the ronin s. Is it worth the extra money to upgrade?
Well done for comparing the two gimbals like this ! I think a significant advantage of the S2 over the original is the quick release plate. It saves quite some time and hassle for us shooters who need to quickly mount the camera on a monopod and back on the gimbal.
I have Ronin S and is amazing I need just to buy more accessories and is more than enough... I am really satisfied with him and for sure I will not change him in the near future.
S2 is good only with lock mechanism, weight and size. Okay raveneye is nice. That's it! By functionality S1 is better! I never had issue with controlling S1 by joystick, with S2 it's a headache
Hi Mario, really liked the video! Was looking for a comparison a pretty long time. What would be quite interesting, how compares the RSC2 to the original Ronin-S? Can in hold up with the BMPCC6K? Rocking the ronins and the bmpcc6k right now, but mostly do alpine stuff where my setup should be as light as possible but still need to deliver a good IQ. Thanks for your Videos, keep up the great work!
Thanks buddy for this vid, exactly what I was looking for and yeah I could never understand either why other TH-camrs showing footage from the new ronin lol
For the counterweight, I taped them on my Ronin S, since my camera configuration is always the same. No need to extra weight clamping, and it's always at the same place, and nobody noticed it yet lol
I love them..I love that ring they brought out for it.. depending on my girl if she decides to go gimbal route ill buy it for her since she prefers lighter..ronin s and s1h is not ideal for her haha 😅
Thanks so much, this is so helpful. Today I tested the Ronin S and found that it wasn't possible to fit my BMPCC4K. It'll have to be the Ronin S2 then.
I agree with most of this but I upgraded. I stopped using my ronin s because it was heavy and when I put cinema lenses on the s1H, racking focus was annoying with the add on wheel. The other thing is that I have a partner with a BMPCC4k. The LiDar system for focus with allow us to have autofocus on that camera which will also be nice because pulling focus on the rs2 is easier AND we will have an auto option for certain scenes. But I also have the budget to make this kind of upgrade. I personally recommend it if you can afford it
Nice. Yeah your choosing it based on things that will up your workflow and help on that end and you can afford it which is the right approach...I see too many people buy new things for no reason because the hype. Great reason 👍 im curios to try the lidar system soon see how it works for me

Appreciate the logic behind not showing gimbal footage! Thanks for the vid!

Very good video AND... to the point without bla-bla-bla like many others have got.
Looking to buy my first gimbal. You helped me decide, I'll go for the S1. Thanks a lot
Glad I can help man 🙌
@@MarioVisions really clear and non BS review 👌 top! Appreciate the reply 🙏
Hey bro pls do I got mine 2 days ago. Its awesome! And you have enough functionality with the app anyway. Save money.

@@MarioVisions yeah i never met anyone who ran into the same problem lol, maybe i should try getting the crane 3s? what do you think?
The rs2 is better then the crane 3s. More settings to work with
@@MarioVisions did you try the 18-35 with the s2?
Yeah I did with s1h
Always on point! This is the video I was needing!!!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💯
Glad I was able to help 🙏

hey man! love the vid, I would love to know what FPV set up does your friend uses?
DJI Goggles, Tango 2, Squirt Cinewhoop w/ GoPro 8 or 9

Thank you. Definitely that is true as well
Does the rsc2 have the quick release or just the rs2?

great comparison video! definitely a lot of info i needed.. thanks!
Thank you for always supporting 😁
Put the Ronin SC battery on your Ronin S, will lower it like the SR2 and feel better when You shoot
Great great stuff, thank you. Liked and subbed
Your welcome. Glad to have you part of this community 🙏
About charging - wrong. S2 charges 3-4 times longer than S1 I had before

Anybody know the ronin S works with the new raven eye accessory? Looking to use an iPad pro as a field monitor 🥸
No it does not unfortunately
Good Review Man
Thank you Steve 🙌
What do you think about the line of tilta accessories coming out for the s2?
I love them..I love that ring they brought out for it.. depending on my girl if she decides to go gimbal route ill buy it for her since she prefers lighter..ronin s and s1h is not ideal for her haha 😅
Damn now i dont know..just bought the canon c70 camera and was going to upgrade..hopefully my ronin s can handle it long term
Yeah. Not sure if the s can handle but if it can id say keep the s. If it works it works 🙏
I've had quite a few quirks with the Ronin S. It's been unreliable at times. I wonder if the S2 is more reliable?
What kind of problems are you having with the ronin s?
@@MarioVisions Pairing issues at times. All sorts of weird shit when it was low on batteries. It's def gotten less reliable the more I have used it
@@michaelwtapp that sucks..yeah I have never gotten that from ronin s only the ronin m..
@@MarioVisions From my experience the ronin M footage looks like a better better because it's a 3 axis gimbal.
Nice review, can you link the sliding base plate to make it easier for s1h and or bmpp users? Thanks
Hey sorry I'm a little late but do you still need it? I can ask my friend for the link

Which song is this mann?
Good video but all that said it really doesn’t worth buying the new one to me! Ronin s is heavy that’s right but... upgrading is not worth 400 bucks
Yeah..its best to save that money or invest it in something you do need 🙏
ahhhh man I feel you Panasonic has the hottest audio. All good brotha amazing video
Its great I just had the settings off from using another mic 😅
Additionally I would appreciate if you could let us also know in kgs not only in lbs etc ;)
is Ronin s compatible with Nikon D850 ?
I used most of these instrumentals in my TH-cam videos too. Funny hearing them from other TH-camrs too. #epidemic lol
Small world haha they make the best music
I have both the weebill s and the ronin s. Im good on the smoothness 🤣
Too many gimbals coming out and they do the same thing 🤦♂️ haha
