That was an awesome idea, taking the old base top, and using it as a 1" riser! I needed a bit more elevation for mine, so I placed mine on some furniture risers, until I can build a proper 3", or 4" plinth to set it on. I have to get the screen al little closer, with my vision. That picxel smoothing, which enlarges the picture is massive help, though. I do feel this cabinet was well worth the price of admission, considering the authentic look of the cabinet, and 50 games onboard, with the possible ability to add more, or at least update the o/s, via USB. The audio is spot on synced, unlike the Legends Ultimate, which has a 1 second delay between action, and audio. LOL. Havin' a blast with the MVSX. I appreciate the idea of buying an officially licensed thing to give money back to the company themselves...but... I dunno. Maybe if I was planning to mod it out with hundreds of MAME games, it'd be worth the $500. But as it stands, if I'm already spending a large amount of money, I'd rather get a Mame cabinet. I could even just have a section for NeoGeo. It's a neat product, but I have the same opinion on 1up cabinets. It's just too expensive for the little amount of games included. It's not as neat as a full sized (or close to it) arcade cabinet, but I have an Xbox Series S, a 2tb harddrive, and a $50 fight stick (that can easily and cheaply be modded with Sanwa parts). All of that cost me less than $500. And my Mame playlist on RetroArch has 166 games (I'm still adding to it). Add to that the fancy CRT shaders and custom border/bezel artwork, and it's so much better than buying a super limited and expensive mini-cabinet like this. I just can't justify paying the prices for 1ups or this, just to play a handful of games. To me, if I bought this, I'd be paying $500 for 50 games, a huge chunk of which are nearly identical to each other, with a fancy cabinet-shaped controller. I'm also not the biggest fan of the screens on these things. Or more accurate, how good the screens are. They just look too clean to me. When games like these look too clean, it just reminds me that it's emulation. I know it wouldn't have been as cheap or convenient, but I'd have loved to see a machine with a little CRT in it. ___ Mind you, if you enjoy these things, more power to you. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with enjoying them. Play games however you want. Just me, personally, I can't get myself to actually want something like this if it isn't fully kitted out with Mame and tons of games. Otherwise my current setup of an Xbox with a fight stick works fine for me.
all those arcade 1 ups........, im a pretty big arcade buff and ive used an arcade 1up someone had and man, its not very impressive, it seems less that half the size then 3/4 like advertised even with the stand. If you like arcade machines and want a full sized machine.Just get a pandoras box arcade stick and build a arcade cabinet with a decent sized screen(computer monitor with hdmi).I own plenty of original machines and I did this with a pandoras box arcade stick to go along with my others and built the cabinet specs for spec from a fullsized neo geo machine I had, same size just painted solid gloss black, and had a company cut out some lexan glass for the front. For instance if you play donpachi or anything that used larger speakers for bass you can use a home theater sub and hook it into the speakers and keep the sub inside the arcade cabinet and you actually get that nice little punchy bass you would have experienced in an arcade and not sound from a single mono channel speaker arcade 1ups use, not to mention in the wrong spot on the 1ups so the sound comes out unnatural compared to the real thing. They even sell new arcade speakers you would find in 99% of original arcade machines from a company called retro arcade and they are cheap.these 1ups are cool but if you build a pandorasbox machine you defiantly not be dissapointed and you would have actually spent about the same as a new arcade 1up.If you ever want pictures of the one I built Ill send them too you and show you how a finished machine looks, cause once you see it Im sure it will sway your decision lol.
Yeah, the roms they include in these compilations have difficulty settings. But the games before 1996, were hard AF even on level 1. After that, the difficulty settings are accurate and games become easier if you lower the difficulty.
Have it sitting in my kitchen until I can find space elsewhere in my house for it.. If I change my locks I can keep it where it is as the wife wants it gone. Outta the kitchen! 🤣
Yeah it is worth the $500 you got one AES Neo Geo cartridges cost and more in that cost like $1,000 for one games hey how did you get the blazing stars game on there on your mvsx
I'm good with the arcade stick pro and happy with it! Double hybrid of a controller and good snk fighting classics with a pixio monitor is top notch to me!
I wouldn’t to be honest. I don’t think this machine would last long in a public setting with the heavy wear and tear it would take. The controls are on the cheaper side. It’s perfect for your home I think. 👍
@@falco830 I would not put it in any public place where there will be children. They will tear it apart in a few hours. Remember, some people don't know how to play and will just mash on the buttons. Someone might also place their drink on it, and it will spill the liquid all over the machine.
I disagree it’s a pretty weak lineup of games. They cheapened it by using mostly fighting games. How many do we actually need. The Neo Geo has dozens of other games (shooters and platformer‘s) that should’ve been on there.

@@3rdFloorArcade yeah i think i ran across you video on Golden axe then TH-cam recommended this lol i had a TH-cam channel 20 thousands subscribers had to call it quits with real life internet troll stocker trying to screw up my personal life. unreal brother
RC Willey has Golden Axe in stock. They charge a fortune for shipping, however.
___
Mind you, if you enjoy these things, more power to you. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with enjoying them. Play games however you want. Just me, personally, I can't get myself to actually want something like this if it isn't fully kitted out with Mame and tons of games. Otherwise my current setup of an Xbox with a fight stick works fine for me.
Nice arcade buddy. I had too on my youtube channel 👍
Thanks Hika Gamu, appreciate that man 👍
Great review brother! Sorry I’m 7 months late LOL
Thanks so much bro! 👍
almost pre order on Amazon free shipping they were releasing next month now no pre order will have to buy directly pay shipping damn it.
How much are they charging for shipping on this?
@@3rdFloorArcade actually don't know because i haven't put in cart just know if i could have done Amazon 2 days and free lol
Something that I don't understand is the 6 buttons layout instead of the 4 buttons one. It's SNK...
Yeah the 6 button layout is a little odd. I think the reasoning behind it was so that the cabinet could be modded easier.
*I have an extra. Like New. Check your local listings around Burbank, CA.*
Nice!
Beautifull 😍😍😍
Thanks for checking out the video C M 👍
I love the idea, but I need to hear that I can add games to it (preferably legitimately) before I pick it up.
Also, I hope that it saves high scores, but I doubt it.
heck yeah my boi Terry
Terry Bogard is the man 👍
all those arcade 1 ups........, im a pretty big arcade buff and ive used an arcade 1up someone had and man, its not very impressive, it seems less that half the size then 3/4 like advertised even with the stand.
Awesome stuff there Kyle! I don’t own any full size cabs but definitely am considering one down the line. It’s been on my radar for awhile 👍
Price?
I purchased it for $499 with the base stand. It’s $50 cheaper without the base.
Does the cab have adjustable difficulty levels? Man, those fighters on Leve 4, are impossible. LOL
Yeah, the roms they include in these compilations have difficulty settings. But the games before 1996, were hard AF even on level 1. After that, the difficulty settings are accurate and games become easier if you lower the difficulty.
amazon for neo geo MVSX $1,249.98 not $599.99
Wow that price is crazy there. It was 499 not too long ago. Try the MVSX website, it’s the normal price there 👍
Have it sitting in my kitchen until I can find space elsewhere in my house for it.. If I change my locks I can keep it where it is as the wife wants it gone. Outta the kitchen! 🤣
😂😂 Kitchen is the perfect spot for it. Making dinner while playing some King Of Fighters sounds good to me!
Too bad it's the censored version of Shock Troopers. Any way to play the uncensored one?
There’s two modes on there in the settings menu where you can turn on and off violence.
@@3rdFloorArcade even for Shock troopers? I thought it was only for Metal slug and SamSho?
@@DataIIDX oh yeah I think you are correct on that. I can double check on that. I’m pretty sure you’re correct though. 👍
@@3rdFloorArcade if you can check, it would be great ☺️
Is king of monsters on this ?
It’s not unfortunately.
I don’t have the arcade stick pro but it really looks awesome! I saw it on sale recently and almost picked it up 👍
Can I put this arcade in a store or small arcade to try and make a little extra cash?
I wouldn’t to be honest. I don’t think this machine would last long in a public setting with the heavy wear and tear it would take. The controls are on the cheaper side. It’s perfect for your home I think. 👍
Good to know, I might still try it in a public setting. Also is this arcade manufactured in China?
@@falco830 I would not put it in any public place where there will be children. They will tear it apart in a few hours. Remember, some people don't know how to play and will just mash on the buttons. Someone might also place their drink on it, and it will spill the liquid all over the machine.
I disagree it’s a pretty weak lineup of games. They cheapened it by using mostly fighting games. How many do we actually need. The Neo Geo has dozens of other games (shooters and platformer‘s) that should’ve been on there.
A few I wish were on there are Neo Turf Masters, Blazing Star, Windjammers and Pulstar.
Hylostick x
I have a SNK NEO GEO MVS
I hear the sounds of Altered Beast.
Haha yeah I had that game going on the Golden Axe cabinet right next to the MVSX, that’s great arcade game knowledge by you my man! 👍

Defo worth it
I agree! Def a great machine 👍
Neat set up
Thanks so much Ninja Toy Reviews, really appreciate that! 👍
No Nam 75? That's a deal breaker
No Nam 75, I wish that was included on the 50 games. Great game!
Metal Slug 3 The goat
👍
Shock troopers? that looks like Metal Slug 3D
Shock Troopers is great, one of my favorites in the Neo Geo library.
meu Deus que luxo. Maravilha
Fenómeno
Oh hell yea
500 dollars...really........
that Shock Troopers game looked like a rip-off of Metal Slug. Funny how game companies make "different" games and try to sell them as new things
I have no idea how you can look at those two games and say either is a ripoff of the other. The differences are immediate.
just got this played it for 1 hour stuck it back in the box and put on ebay and sold it, the thing is too small it smashes my hand , speakers distorting ,buttons suck & is a piece of shit
😂😂😂 sucks for you dude
Why is art of fighting 2 and shock troopers 2 missing?
Yeah those two games definitely should’ve been included on there.
@@3rdFloorArcade hi friend just wondering can games be added to this? Ty.
@@paulconsiglio2320 yeah I think so. I generally keep all my cabinets stock but there’s ways to mod it.
@@3rdFloorArcade tyvm I am looking to buy this unit it 700 Canadian here with taxes.
@@paulconsiglio2320 I think it’s worth the price especially when you compare it to a normal Arcade1up machine. It’s one of my favorites still 👍
Does it have Samurai showdown 🥷🏾
Yes it has a few of the Samurai Showdown games on there.
