Heechul has knee pain which is why he asked the company and choreographer to only let him do the ending part 😯 but he killed it along with all the SJ men 😊 (Donghae looks so good!)

yeah heechul was in that car accident in 2006 or 07 and broke his left leg ankle to hip, and had 7 metal rods placed in his leg. he still hurts constantly from this so he doesnt dance as much.

Heechul wasn’t originally going to dance for this comeback due to the pain in his leg continuing to cause him problems due to the car accident he got into in 2006. However Eunhyuk really wanted him to dance with them so they changed the choreography to make it easier and decided to only have Heechul dance at the end of the performance. Which is why you don’t really see him

If you watch the behind the scenes/documentary show that follows this comeback (appropriately named Super Junior Returns), Heechul laments on his car accident that happened in 2007 that shattered his left leg. He's lucky he can even walk, but his left leg is basically all metal, no bone. If he dances for too long for too much, he begins to feel immense excruciating pain. For this comeback though, Eunhyuk pleaded for him to dance with them on stage, even for a bit, and he agreed, consequentially learned his part in the bridge + the chorus, and stays onstage for that period of time in their live performances.
Yesung actually did go through some stuff while promoting his solo, he talked about how hard it was being without the members in SJ Returns...

It's Heechul's car accident from way back, he said recently that he is in a lot of pain every time he overdoes it a bit so he wanted to sit out the entire promotions but Eunhyuk convinced him to basically do the "come in at the end like in Sorry Sorry" thing rather than not promoting at all.
So happy to see Suju back on the scene, but damn waiting for the day there is a full 13 member comeback to restore days of glory, Kyuhyun Ryeowook, Sungmin, Kangin we need hyungs back safely! Maturity here in Black suit tho was completely insane. I'm so ready to join Suju's gentlemen's club in a heartbeat.

Yes!! I feel like we waited forever for their return, but it was oh so worth it! I remember thinking, they've done their service and returned as men 😍 Roughly the same thoughts I had when Yunho returned with Drop ^_^ In vlive, Heechul made a statement regarding his knee pain from the car accident (i am guessing it is the accident regarding the SM transport) and to avoid re-injury he has to take a backseat to the choreography =[ BUT! It was so good to hear Superman as an intro again and it makes happy!

Any plans to react to Monsta X's "Dramarama"? You won't regret it if you do. It's amazing! And they all look so beautiful. Re Heechul, he recently came out and explained why he doesn't dance as much. He was in a car accident 11 years ago that injured his ankle, and it will never get better. He has to do rehab just so that it doesn't get worse. As a result, they have changed the choreo many times so that he doesn't have to dance as much to accomodate his injury. There's a Soompi article about it if you want more info.

So I'm commenting because you guys don't seem to know (which is ok)
Remember that bad car accident Heechul was in 10 years ago where he broke his leg in multiple places? Yeah, that never fully healed and he's had chronic pain since, to the point that in this comeback he literally could not physically do the dance because of the pain it caused him.
The members did not want him to be left out, so Eunhyuk and Shindong modified the choreography so he could join at the end and be part of the stage without it being so physically taxing.
