Loved that whole thing - the hunt, the renovated old school, the guide, the dogs, the setup, all of it. I also love that Houston is getting to have all of these cool experiences. Looked like some mighty good eating, too. Thanks for taking us along. This was cool!
Excellent post. You covered about everything I was going to say😅. The only thing I can add to your post is that I love seeing Houston have new adventures❤
One of the funniest things on your videos I have seen in the several years I have been watching. You telling Houston you're gonna put the bird down and he just tosses it to the ground. 😂 Love y'all's dynamic! So wholesome watching a father and son enjoying a good time spent together.
I am forty seven years old, live in north central nebraska, my husband and I have a feedlot that feeds out two thousand head of cattle, and we love watching and support u n your family
I Absolutely Loved this video! The dogs worked Great together and I really enjoyed seeing Y’all let them Birds get way above the Dogs heads before shooting! Really Loved the Lodge setup and the food looked Absolutely Delicious! Watching GSP’s brings back memories of the stories my Dad and Uncle would tell me when they ran their GSP’s in Field trials! Can’t wait to see the next video! God Bless from Caldwell Ohio!
I grew up in Southwest Kansas and my dad used to hunt pheasant and quail in the fields...He had so much fun with his Brittany Spaniel named Rusty who faithfully brought back every bird he shot....He would bring his kill home and mom would finish cleaning, making sure to get out all the BB's....We sure enjoyed sitting around the dinner table, eating fresh game.....My dad past away a year ago at the age of 84, after a long good life hunting, fishing and watching football...Watching you and Houston brought back so many good memories...Thanks for sharing....
Brought back memories. I made 20 opening weekends in Iowa It was standing corn so we only used flushing not pointing dogs. Of course life happened and I haven’t been since. I love those cold mornings when the dogs hopped out of the truck and got their zoomies. It was great.
I used to deer and pheasant hunt in Salina Kansas years ago. Great hunting experience in Kansas! This was an epic adventure to watch ❤. Thanks for sharing
What an outstanding video, Your Best video of 2025 and it's going to be hard to beat this one. Father and Son at it's best having fun hunting !!! These moments will never be forgotten....😊😊😊😊
Daniel,Great video! I think you did a great with the video. I love watching Houston get the birds. I loved his reaction,it was priceless. I always enjoy your videos,it makes my day. I sat on my couch drinking some hot chocolate out of your insulated cup. Thank you Daniel, you and Houston made my weekend.
I haven't seen a Pheasant in southern Michigan in quite a few years. They're beautiful birds. My Dad told me stories about when he would go Pheasant hunting. That's awesome you guys had the chance to go! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys!! Thank you so much for sharing your adventures!
Haven't seen any in Indiana in years either. I am in N central Indiana and we are over run with raccoons, opossums, and foxes. Coyotes are becoming a problem too. So pheasants are probably not going to be making a comeback any time soon.
@@waytoson I never even thought about the raccoon, opossum, etc. Yep that would do it. We are over populated too. It's sad. I hear coyotes here on the outskirts of a small town and have heard ppl having trouble with them in town.
❤Wow ❤ Huston did such an amazing job. So impressed with him being able to shoot a moving bird. And the one that he got that flew at him wow 🎉🎉 such an amazing young man.
I think Houston is developing a love for bird hunting. It is so exciting to watch him get excited and learn new hunting skills. He is such a humble and kind young man.
Wow! Another just awesome video! I know y'all had a blast! The accommodations were out of this world, and the food looked amazing! What a setup they have!! Jeff was a super nice guy and a great guide! Excellent working dogs on top of it all!
Have to say your son the most laid back kid i have ever seen n been around alot of young hunter i taught hunter safty n bow hunter safty course back in the day
I always loved pheasant huntind! I spent the first 22 years of my life in Kansas! My Dad's family farmed in Smith County, Kansas! All you need for great pheasant hunting is an area where they grow corn!!
Loved this video! Loved watching the dogs work 🥰 My first son was born in Iuka MS…. I didn’t even realize there was an Iuka KS! Those were some pretty birds 🤗🤗
What a delicious looking meal.. I love how Houston always willing to try wild cooked meat from his hunting. Such a great trip ..thanks for sharing.. need to have one beauty mounted for Houston’s trophy room. Love to watch the bird dog get into pointer pose… showing there is a bird..
Been watching you since July 2023 and I am so happy that you have come a long way from the last time I've watched you and I started watching y'all Houston has grown up so much income a strong and brave young man and will continue to be throughout his lifetime Daniel you're doing an awesome job with him continue to build a strong man in Houston 😊❤
I have never seen pheasant hunting before and I loved the way the dogs worked it. Great idea about using an old school building to lodge and feed hunters. Thank you for sharing God Bless you all
What a cool idea! Houston would thrive at homeschooling and have the opportunity to learn and experience so much instead of being trapped in a classroom all day.
I don’t think he is trapped in public school. Whole lot of talking about subject. Like the saying, different strokes for different folks 😊 🕊🕊✝️🕊🕊 🌧 today in Arkansas 44:00

I turned 74, 3 weeks ago. I can't remember the last time pheasant hunting. I do remember getting a double with my granddad's old double 12. Been a long time ago. We sure enjoy Daniel's family and videos.
My Aunty loved pheasant season. My Uncle and Daddy would bring their birds home and she'd claim the feathers. My Aunties and mom would create lovely hats with the pheasant feathers from the 1940's to 1970's.

A friend of ours lives just south west of Pratt and knows of the old school hunts. Nice video. Thanks for sharing. It is difficult for me to hunt anymore, so we really enjoyed this one.
I’ve never seen Pheasant hunting. My Aunt and Uncle have land in Alabama that they hunt, and my Uncle. Sent my Step Mom the tail of a beautiful Pheasant that she used to make a beautiful head band for a hat.
