My memory of Lookout Mountain: in 1989, when I was 17, I rode my bike from Boston to LA with some friends. We camped at a campground at the top of Lookout Mountain; that morning, I coasted down the road and went to a McDonald's in town, as was my custom at the time. When I went to get my wallet out of my handlebar bag, I realized it was missing. I assumed I'd somehow left it at the campground, so I rode back up the climb (probably -- at best -- at 1/6th the speed of Phil in this video!). Of course, I couldn't find it. My friends had ridden ahead, so I had a 60+ mile day with no food other than the dried ramen in my pannier. I never did find the wallet, but I do have strong memories of that climb even all these years later!
Everything I do hill repeats or just climbing in general I think of you, the watts and efforts you put thanks for the motivation! You you could brake down more how to climb more efficiently would be great
👊on your Nat's revenge, and for giving a shout out to the one and only Jeremy Powers from his JellyBelly, pay-the-bills-while-waiting-for-Cyclocross, days!
I visit from Raleigh for mtb racing and riding (scott's bike/Cleveland/Black Bear) since 2014! Love the way the city has grown and developed. The Sara Lee smell is fantastic! A downtown crit there would be bananas!!
Just listened to Phil's book about being a pro on 10 bucks a day. It's a real joy and a delight! And he got the same narrator who did Tyler Hamilton's book - an absolute star at reading audiobooks. I'm downloading Ask A Pro! Cheers
I now hope everyone will be happy, because Phil stopped at the stop sign! Well, I mean, he stopped the footage, at least, that should count as stopping, right?
congrats. enjoy watching how smoothly your ride. you're putting out crazy numbers w/ no wasted motion on the bike. I try to copy that when I climb....having trouble matching the power numbers though. great channel.
Went to school at utc and did some light commuting and now excited to go back for some serious riding later this year with a buddy, can't believe I missed out on so much good biking!
1. Phil, thanks for being real and not editing that out. 2. Congrats on the redemption crown. 3. How did Lucas Euser get 2nd with 188w? Seems surprising as a measurement... or an estimate.
Should hit Robert’s Mill Road next time. Not a ton of traffic and probably the steepest segment Chatt has to offer. I like look out but Suck Creek Road was always my favorite.
What are the odds of a pro nats cookie corner in Knoxville combined with an attempt on the Clingman's dome KOM? Beautiful ride but traffic can be a little much to say the least.

I live 2hrs from Chat, we visit there a lot. Beautiful city. Lookout mountain climb is definitely on my bucket list.
Lookout Mountain also has a nice little civil war cemetery with pretty good historical information about the location's strategic importance
That was real, and touching. Thank you!
Thanks for coming to Chatt we are slowly becoming a good cycling community

Ha I dunno about Lucas. He’s small but not that small
Thanks!
Love the work you’re doing. If you can Let Lionel keep the MT. LEMON KOM. LOL
My daughter say the golf gloves and matching golf towels and says they are 🔥 and wants some. Congrats on that nationals revenge💪🚴
Gay
I still can believe Phil came to Chattanoga and was taken on the poop loop. So many options, this is easily the WORST ride in town. 🤦🏻♂️💩
A premier route on Stank City Tours!
Any plans to try for Palomar again? You should also go after engineers road in pine hills!
Any other old guys out there that thought the reference to Phinney's crash was about Davis Phinney? Took me a sec, ha!
Way to do 'Nooga proud for all FasCats! 💪💪
Have you ever attempted Sa Calobra in Mallorca, Spain? It is a must do
Phil, come to Anchorage, and we'll take you on the Moose Loop!
That sounds awesome actually
W road on signal mountain would be a challenge.
Crazy Power! Could only dream of those numbers... maybe i need more cookies

Are you trolling us with that rear QR pointing up?
2:44 yea... Phil u dont want a case of mistaken identity on this one.
Wow!!!
Phil just one question, you rode Pinarello Dogma 65.1 in the National championship, what you think about that frame ??
Heavy

The 8oz road coke ftw..
Phil- if you do what Filipino Ganna does and place 11 bikes on the following
Car, maybe you could have cracked 13mph- anywho love the channel
Missed a golden opportunity of calling it the Urine Touring
Where's the choo choo?......🤓........track 29......?.......
Too bad the outro footage was not recorded. Sure you said some funny stuff.
HandsUp guy should have featured one of the many local breweries, not Bud. boooo Odd Story and so many others!!!
I go bouldering up on that mountain!
Hard to hear your voice over the music during the effort.
Let's go Phill 💪💪💪 if you ain't doing 500 watts you ain't going that hard. Stop complaining and go strong 💪💪
Nice to see that you're human. All those watts make us thing otherwise. :)
The trash stock music during the climbs ruin them
