I recommend you learn the HSI by hand flying before trying to figure out the autopilot. Good sources are available from ASA, Gleim, or King Schools. Doing this first should save you time and reduce frustration.
Very good but personally I’d have used KTIW in place of McChord.... USAF gets a bit touchy... of course you never got near it. I have to say I will miss the rain & snow effects in FSW. Thanks for another great video! :)
Ah well, USAF need to get used to having a Briton flying light aircraft in their vicinity! And I completely agree with you sir, the weather effects in FSW were the best part of it.
Nice to see some vanilla stuff. I used to be a big flight sim fan but haven't played in long time. I played FSX quite a lot (here's some FSX vids i made: th-cam.com/play/PL4mz8PKGxWX2XH36JO7UQRt4kEPge_dVv.html) Would you say X Plane 11 is the best option at the moment? I just can't bother to get into the tweaking config files and overcomplicated installs of FSX again and X-plane 11 looks like a future proof platform and a good/active community.
Thank you for watching. FSX was definitely the de facto standard. But I have to say that X Plane really is quite amazing, particularly to fly. And with the understanding of flight dynamics that I have, I have to say that it is far more natural than FSX due to the way the dynamics are calculated, meaning you really have more fluid motion. That being said, I am talking default to default aircraft. If you pull up the likes of the A2A Cessna 172 in FSX vs the 172 in X Plane, the A2A aircraft feels the best. This is because they worked incredibly hard to find workarounds for the limitations of the ESP platform. Tweaking will probably still be a big part of X Plane; I am certainly going to start looking at it but I feel it will take far less tweaking than FSX. Mods wise though, I am going to start adding some in one by one. Hopefully a mixture of freeware and payware!

PS: BE-58 checklists are available online. They include the speeds you should be using for takeoff, climb, approach, and landing.
Definitely worth 3 parts, hehe. Really nice set of videos, thanks.
Thank you!
Enjoyed this!
Thank you very much! Stay tuned for more!

This guy changes his mind every few seconds, which makes his presentation inconsistent and annoying.
