It's not even about the money and material lifestyle though, his messages of being genuine, showing love to those important in your life, working hard and spreading knowledge is actually beautiful. You can see how much he's grown as not just an artist, but as a person in Khalifa (2016) versus Rolling Papers (2012). He's grown up, has a different focus now. That's progression. People talk like it's a bad thing with the 'old vs new Wiz' debate but real Taylors know that he's only doing better for not just himself, but everyone around him. Everyone here is reminiscent about hearing this in high school and wishing to be there again, but as a 16 year old, the world has changed so much in the last 5 years that it's hard to believe I'm still considered young. I just don't feel young, whatever that's supposed to mean. Of course, I'm also part of the first generation to grow up on technology through my whole life, and it's really no secret that my generation is also very depressed. Time is weird, man.
