I liked a lot the part of not forcing what you learn into your gigs at the time. They will come to your gigs when it is right. Michael Brecker said the same. I also like that you should practice things you have a problem playing and to slow them down and increase the speed as you learn.
Fabulous episode! Really interesting to hear of Joel's journey to jazz, teaching and practicing. Thank you Joel and Nigel. More of the same please.
That was awesome. Thanks Joel.
Great interview with a brilliant tutor with loads of excellent information about how to improve your practice and playing thanks Joel and Nigel
Another great episode! Loved to hear Joel’s approach to learning. Very enlightening, hard to follow!
Fantastic Joel, you both are awsome tutors, even if I can't understand half the music theory. Never my strong point.
A bit dislike when Joel says "started @14 and a bit late for some" . I stared 40 and what can I say 😮😊? Lovely people you are 🎷👍
