Just so people know; it wouldn't be totally out of the question for some pretty young people to use retinoidish products in certain cases (it isn't just used for anti-aging; it's also used for acne, and acne can start pretty young for some people).
No but if they have acne they shouldn't be using retail serum they should be using products that arnt anti aging cuz it can severely damage the skin
no one said that 10 year olds should be using anti-aging products, and there are some products otc that should be used for acne, such as adapalene (a retinoid), salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide @@Charzlife
In my opinion I think if u have acne or pimples and stuff u should use brands like Benzac and things that get rid of bacteria and acne. I don’t know about retinol, but if cu can use products without retinol that get rid of acne wouldn’t u? Bc retinol can be really bad for young ppl. But I don’t know. I guess it might work for some ppl 🫶🏻
@@YOURPREPPY_GIRL10 Benzac is the brand name of a medication that uses benzoyl peroxide (a product which I mentioned abovd). Using something like adapalene isn't necessarily bad for young people; it used to be prescription and I got it on the youngish side. You might be saying you think retinol is damaging to skin because you've known people who used it and got skin flaking, but that probably meant they needed to change how they used it, and no it isn't really damaging for skin it treats a variety of issues.
From what I understand, tretinoin has the same chemical structure as retinol, it's just created artificially in the lab.
