I watched this episode again on Valentine's day, and I noticed something about how the Rina scene was shot. When Ricky and Gina are starting their conversation, we see over the shoulder shots on Ricky and Gina respectively, but when the conversation becomes more intimate when Gina tells Ricky she tells him things she doesn't tell others, we get a wide shot of both characters directly facing each other with no cuts, changing the pacing of the scene. This shift stands out, because it's a longer shot, so the tension between them is felt more strongly, and it showcases the two of them take steps towards each other. Then, as soon as Nini calls, the scene returns to its original pace in editing and filming. This is lowkey cornplating, but I do love how much the filmmaking emphasizes that Ricky is feeling something deeper here (and if you look at his face during the long shot, Josh's acting shows that Ricky is FEELING it haha)
that is an AMAZING catch! Great Job! I can't believe I never noticed that lol
I haven't had time to watch this yet but I might have skimmed to the end and I love that you're a chocolate believer now lol.
lol you’ve converted me!
