The Quincy didn’t need to steal their Bankai in the first place,that only happened to crush the soul reapers hope,most of the Quincy are easily stronger than captains except the really high up captains
Stealing their Bankai was also brilliant from a tactical standpoint,use your enemies ability so when they eventually reclaim it they still have no idea what your abilities are….the shinigami have been fighting the Quincy without the Quincy even using their individual abilities,we only got to see quilge opies and look how much of a problem he gave Ichigo

Shinji’s Bankai is definitely one of my favourite highlights from part two so far because we never got to see it in the manga, but I’m glad that the manga’s author made the decision to bring that into the TYBW adaptation.
I hope this is clear to all the naysayers out there that Shinji's shikai is NOT JUST AN OPTICAL ILLUSION. He literally showed that he can also reverse what his opponents are hearing when he talks. He doesn't just affect the sight, he affects the sense of direction in general.

When the hollows adapted by using echolocation to navigate their way, Shinji revealed that he can also reverse hearing and proceeded to mess with their ability to echolocate. He even further stated that he plans on training further to the point where he can even reverse other things such as temperature. When Shinji said that he was practicing on "speaking in reverse", he didn't mean he was actually speaking backwards himself, he was speaking in reverse through Sakanade. That's what he meant.

In those brief visions that Ichigo is getting you see a vision of a person with limbs being taken off. It's visions of the origins of the soul king and soul society and how everything came to be, and both manga readers and anime-only's haven't actually seen this stuff so this is HELLA HYPE!!

The perception inverting BAN-KAI: Sakashima Yokoshima Happōfusagari (Reversed Evil 8 Treasure Blockade) This Bankai inverts all opponents perceptions of friend and foe by admitting a gaseous hazard, it’s especially dangerous as it can work on anyone but Shinji himself due to the flower guard that surrounds and protects him. While his Shikai only affects one individual opponent, his Bankai affects a whole group of opponents. A cool little parallel I noticed is while the Soul Reaper Captains gain a Hollowfied Banaki as a comeback, Shinji as the top Visored (being a Hollowfied Soul Reaper) reveals his Banaki finally acknowledging his Soul Reaper Captain side. Regarding the path that IchiGoat is on: Izarusando = The Unapproachable Path. This training is completely anime original content and it seems to be foreshadowing to something big in the future in regards to one of the novels, which is where Shinji’s Bankai is exclusively from as it was also not shown in the manga. The novels getting adapted go beyond this arc which means this isn’t the end of Bleach as we know it. They’re cooking up a feast boys, bigger than the one that was made for Ichigo and Renji! Side Note: Lastely remember, Vollständig/Voll Stern Dish = Complete Holy Form (Quincy Bankai Equivalent) and This is where the real battles Begin.
Slight correction: Sakanade doesn't just affect one opponent. The Shikai release itself emits a gas much like the bankai, to which Shinji then uses his zanpakuto to fan the mist and spread it. It affects whoever inhales it. This is how it literally went down with Aizen.
His dialog implies that his Bankai becomes more powerful IF he stacks it on his Shikai. He was trying to taunt Bambie to call for back up from the other girls, at which point he would activate his Bankai and make her fight them 😂 On its own, the Bankai is useless in a 1v1 because he is sealed and his enemy wouldn't attack him either so it becomes a stalemate of sorts, so it shines with multiple enemies around... However, unlike Aizen who has so much energy that he can use his Shikai against multiple captains and it won't drop in effectiveness, Shinji's Bankai drains him if his enemies scale to him... so it's most effective against fodder. But (and this is just my interpretation) IF he traps his enemy with his Shikai and stacks it with his Bankai, no matter how strong they are it would take effect in which case if his enemies are strong, it wouldn't matter how many would be caught in it because he only needs 1 or 2 to turn the tide. Most Shikai builds upon Bankai so this wouldn't be too crazy to be the case.
Shinji states in the light novel, "Your shikai is for giants and your bankai is for minnows. Everything is reversed for you." His shikai is more handy for 1v1 though he really should stack it with his hollow mask and abilities.

Shinji can't use his bankai near allies. It turns everyone in the area against each other. Surrounded by enemies, it's amazing. But in the fight with Aizen with all his allies around, he couldn't do it.

The defining moment of this episode to me was ichigo walking the path, blurs of the soul king’s past, and the soul king’s eyes overlaid onto ichigo’s. Shinji’s bankai finally getting revealed was cool sure, it just felt kind of wedged in there and on top of that, there wasn’t much animation to it, just still frames of the quincies attacking each other on activation. We got it and it was cool yeah, but we (readers) already knew what it did. I’m also a little disappointed we didn’t get BG9’s shrift in this episode, I’m not sure how they’ll even reveal that now, seeing as how BG9 is kinda cooked. And manga readers know what happens next. It’s gotta be either the “Knowledge” or even a little more of a stretch, the “Kinetic”, but I still really hope they’ll actually just give it to us, even if BG9 is pretty much finished now. Same goes for Accutrone, really hoping his shrift gets revealed, even if he doesn’t do all that much. That being said, all the episodes are absolute fire and animation is on point, just a little disappointment here and there with minor details!

Shinji can't use his bankai near allies. It turns everyone in the area against each other. Surrounded by enemies, it's amazing. But in the fight with Aizen with all his allies around, he couldn't do it.
Kinda sad people really only care about Bankai when there were better moments overall
Despite being a W his bankai and an L his shikai,the animation for the latter was a lot better

His shikai is better cause u mostly fight with 1v1 but his sp is low for high power enemies. He can mess up senses in the battle tho

The defining moment of this episode to me was ichigo walking the path, blurs of the soul king’s past, and the soul king’s eyes overlaid onto ichigo’s. Shinji’s bankai finally getting revealed was cool sure, it just felt kind of wedged in there and on top of that, there wasn’t much animation to it, just still frames of the quincies attacking each other on activation. We got it and it was cool yeah, but we (readers) already knew what it did.
I’m also a little disappointed we didn’t get BG9’s shrift in this episode, I’m not sure how they’ll even reveal that now, seeing as how BG9 is kinda cooked. And manga readers know what happens next. It’s gotta be either the “Knowledge” or even a little more of a stretch, the “Kinetic”, but I still really hope they’ll actually just give it to us, even if BG9 is pretty much finished now. Same goes for Accutrone, really hoping his shrift gets revealed, even if he doesn’t do all that much.
That being said, all the episodes are absolute fire and animation is on point, just a little disappointment here and there with minor details!
