Clips are overly long, and the film soundtracks are too loud in the mix and make it difficult to hear the narrator. Okay as it is. Maybe another video of Bresson's use of analytical editing to create narratively necessary spaces, since he was the master?
Lol I didn’t think anyone would even watch this. I made it over ten years ago and I didn’t know as much back then. I was just trying to get rid of it off my drive so I posted it on here.
I could always make a few new videos but I’m just not sure how many people would even watch it. If I would it probably wouldn't be Bresson but rather subjects and films that are more obscure. Maybe I'll start doing a short video essay in between films.
@@robertedwards64 Nah, the sound mix was completely off, the ending especially. I let it override the narration. It was a small video essay I compiled up for when a school assignment. After I make my next film in September I'll put together a nice little video about Lucrecia Martel. I noticed there isn't much analyzing her on youtube and I think it would be a great subject to disect in terms of film form and the style of content.
Watched Lancelot du Lac last night after watching this vid a week ago. Thank you so much for helping me learn more about film!
Nice commentary and video - more bresson content is needed on the internet !
Nice video. Bresson is like my film school

Hope I didn't sound too critical. I enjoyed it, and it made me think about constructive vs. analytical editing.

@@Sakowsky As a wise man once said, 'don't think. Feel'. Do post the videos; let fate decide the rest. It would be a shame to waste knowledge, no?
